My husband and I love to try new food trucks, and this is one of the best places we've ever eaten. The steak nachos were incredible - crispy tortilla chips loaded with perfectly seasoned meat, nacho cheese, two different salsas, sour cream and pickled jalapeños. The tacos el pastor were bursting with flavor - juicy, tender pork with bits of roasted pineapple, fresh radishes, cilantro and onions, and the homemade salsas added heat but mostly amazing flavor.
We also ordered two of their specialty beverages - a lightly sweetened herbal hibiscus tea that was super refreshing with a beautiful ruby red color, and a traditional horchata that was a little too sweet for me but just right for my husband.
We definitely want to try their hot dogs and hamburgers next time, and their sopes and quesadillas look delicious, but we couldn't be more pleased with our first visit here!
UPDATE: We've now tried nearly everything on the menu, and it's all SO GOOD. The California burrito blew my mind - why doesn't everyone put French Fries inside burritos?!? And the hot dogs (wrapped in bacon, covered in refried beans, Mexican mayo, ketchup, mustard and grilled onions) completely changed my life. The sopes (we've tried chorizo and el pastor) are filled with so many delicious flavors. I can't recommend this...
Read moreEdit: I've been here so many times now and always get tripa with green salsa. A friend who doesn't eat red meat said the chicken tacos are good too.
I tried the tripa, lengua y carne asada. Tacos came out big and stuffed full. The tripa was perfect as people have said and they can do soft or crispy. Goes well with the green salsa. As for the carne asada I slightly prefer El paisa, this one was a bit dry for me. Overall it was a great meal. Husband is vegetarian and he got sopes sin carne. Can't speak to that, but...
Terrible service. We are from another state and are passing through NM and googled for a taco place. Decided to give it a try. Upon arrival we greet the lady cashier to which she ignores us. Then she takes our order. I want a taco of each flavor. That makes her mad and proceeds to say our order is complicated and will take longer. What?! I mean then don’t sell a variety of taco meats if you cannot handle a simple order of 13 tacos. Mind you we paid $45 for those small unflavored tacos. I am a business owner and would never provide such service to no customer nor will I allow my employees to do so. She should be happy we considered her taco...
