If I could give 0 stars, I would. I wish I would’ve taken pictures of the food, but I honestly didn’t think about it because of how angry I was.

Ordered takeout that consisted of a ribeye, margherita pizza, and nachos. My husband picked it up and brought it home. The wait time wasn’t too long from when I called in the order and when he picked it up.

The margherita pizza was immediately disappointing in appearance. There were slices of nearly raw tomato on top with flecks of basil cooked into the cheese. It was clear the pizza had been sitting out for a while because of how hard the cheese was. The worst part was biting into the pizza and realizing that it had a white, garlic sauce. I have never had a margherita pizza with white sauce. I googled it to be sure I wasn’t being picky, and can’t find anything about garlic/white sauce being used on a pizza that’s considered “margherita”.

The worst was the ribeye that was supposed to be cooked medium. It was nearly raw and extremely fatty - I don’t even want to label it rare. It was not edible.

The nachos looked fine.

I called ahead to let the hostess know I wasn’t happy and asked if I should bring the food back in order to get a refund. I was told yes. I drove to the restaurant and waited for 5 min or so in a crowded area with patrons waited to be seated, with the food I wasn’t happy with.

Rachel came out and reviewed my concerns. I told her about the above. She said that “that’s how we do our margherita pizza, the description says garlic aioli” - it does not. And if it does - it needs to be updated on their website. Because I didn’t want to argue (unfortunately), I asked for the money for the steak. She asked if I wanted a new one and I said no. She asked, “did you even try the nachos?” and I said the nachos weren’t the issue, but I didn’t want any of it. Rachel maintained that I would only get reimbursed for the steak, and took the rest of the food.

After telling my husband, he called and told the hostess to put the manager on the phone. She asked him to hold and he waited about 5 min before hanging up and calling right back, only to be sent directly to a VM. My husband had to block his number in order to be able to get through to the restaurant and finally speak to Rachel. She made sure to say she was busy dealing with a party of customers who have not paid yet - and hopefully aren’t going to be as disgusted with their food as we were.

We will never go to Alburtis Tavern again. I hope none of the patrons get sick from the food that they’re...

Are used to go to the Alburtis tavern for years prior to it closing down to the pandemic. Stopped in tonight since I heard they had new management and we’re open again so I won’t be too overly critical because I know there is a learning curve with all new employees, but I’ll be coming back here more often. Anyway, I stopped in today said at the bar the place was absolutely packed which was good to see. I just ordered a sandwich called the Cuban and the Coca-Cola. The food came out about 30 minutes later, but like I mentioned, the place is very crowded so take that into consideration and new employees. The Cuban sandwich is supposed to have ham and pork on it, it was served on a ciabatta roll, but did not have any pork. Either way the atmosphere was really awesome. It was nice to sit at the bar and talk to some of the local town folk who are used to also come here. In my opinion, if you were looking for a place to go eat, I would definitely check this place out because in the next coming weeks as they get into the groove, I’m sure they are going to be just as amazing if not better than what they were before. One of the cool features that they have is if you’re sitting at the bar all the barstools have a railroad name on them and every time a train goes by they spend this big roulette type of wheel, and if it lands on your seat name you...

My understanding is the tavern just reopened within the past month or so. We went around 4:20 thinking it wouldn’t be busy yet, but it was just ramping up and we waited about 5-10 min, at most. Our server was very nice and attentive. The atmosphere there is great. Nice environment, the dining area is full of train memorabilia which is cool to look at. The food selection was basic, but this is understandable as they are just getting started. Perhaps they will add to the menu as time goes by. I ordered a burger cooked medium. It was cooked well, but still tasty with cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato and onion. My husband had wings and the chili. I will say the serving size for the chili was not impressive for $6, especially if you paid for it to be supreme ($10, add cheese, sour cream, jalapeños and chips). The chili was mistakenly upgraded to supreme but my husband didn’t get the chips that it should have come with it. The chili was not his favorite. It had a barbecue undertone which is not to nis liking. My daughter had a pasta dish. Cajun pasta. It was pretty good, lots of flavor. Only complaint would be that the sausage tasted more kielbasa. Over all the food was hot and good for...

Feb. 2025 Food was good. I miss the pre COVID menu but it's still good. It was extremely loud with a party in the back dining room and very busy for the servers. We'll come back again when it's not so crazy to try more items on the menu. My husband loved his burger and sweet potato tots. Cheesesteak flatbread was ok. 3-5-25 oh my gosh. It was so much better tonight. Quieter. Menu has changed for the better! And all our food was excellent. My 9 yr old grandson now loves salmon along with me and he loved the French fries and broccoli and wished he had gotten a salad too, the teenager loves meatloaf and you made it perfect. It was 2 big slices and really good. He loved the broccoli and rice too. I love chicken pot pie and was so glad I tried it. It was the best. I should have only eaten half of it but I nailed it all. I'll probably order the meatloaf and salmon dinners when we stop again for dinner. My husband said the chicken Marsala was really good and his salad looked good enough for me to try sometime. Lydia did a great job serving us. We'll be back. Thank you.
