First of all, taco bell is my favorite fast food restaurant. Having said that, this particular location seems to be struggling.
My order (3/4/2023 11:30am): Was missing the cheese dip from the chips and cheese. (My son was devastated) Did not come with the requested sauce packets. The soft tacos were way too full of beef and cheese. (See attached picture after I scraped off the excess) They asked me to pull up and wait despite only having 2 people in line behind me and 2 cars parked in the parking lot which in actuality were probably employee cars.
Of course, I did not realize any of this until I made it home. Obviously excess beef and cheese on tacos is not a problem as I can simply scrape it off, but it does create profit issues for this location.
The next paragraph is my opinion:
What is the real issue?? It may be presumptuous to just blame lazy or incompetent cooks/cashiers. My opinion is that this is poor management. This location was recently renovated and was a good opportunity for management to start off on the right foot. The workers I interfaced were courteous and seemed confident (although it seems to be misplaced confidence). To me this screams "absent management". This absent management problem is causing lost profit from using way too much beef, lack of training for employees, and lack of holding employees accountable. This is not the first time I've had an issue at this location and it seems by the reviews here that others are having the same issue.
The district manager needs to wake up and realize they have an issue. It's your (management) ship. It'll sink or float because of you (management). And that's 100% on you. Blaming the current political, economic, geography of your location won't help.
If it's not already clear by this review, I'm calling out management. Either step up and take responsibility or step down and give opportunity to a younger more...
Read moreTo say I'm a Taco Bell expert would be a gross understatement as I could easily write a definitive guidebook on Taco Bells of the eastern United States. Despite all of that experience, I was still not prepared for the unparalleled food which I received upon my 10/7/23 afternoon visit. I had a mobile order consisting of a crunchwrap, soft Taco, and beefy melt. Each of these delicacies was prepared to perfection. The soft taco was not smashed as too often ruins it. The beefy melt was supple yet full. However, the star of the show was the crunchwrap. This wondrous creation was the rare combination of fluffy, crunchy, and substantive. The sour cream shone through as the layers were perfectly balanced as all things should be.
As I write this review, a tear trickles down my face. I am not sure whether the tear falls at the shear beauty of what I experienced, or the sad realization that this location is so far from my humble abode, but I am sure that I leave this humble location a changed man.
In the immortal words of the renowned food critic Anton Ego, "Not everyone can become a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere." This Taco Bell lived out this truth in a shining example to the world. Bravo,...
Read moreI am severely disappointed with the Taco Bell on 2612 Alcoa hwy,Alcoa Tennessee 37701. I had placed a mobile order I clicked that I was there and they said they never received my order . They were extremely rude and I showed them my confirmation email and receipt showing I placed it at their location 10 minutes prior before I arrived . They would still not get a manager and stated their was nothing they could do. Extremely unprofessional I will urge anyone in the Knoxville Tennessee area to skip that location . I would like you to know the situation could've been handled better and could've took down the order and made my food they had multiple chances to make it right but this store has lost my business forever at least this location .i called corporate and all they did was refund my money which will take a week to receive even if I get it and I filed a complaint they did not even offer a gift card or free meal to help resolve the situation .i would give this location a 0 if it was possible .the managers really need to train the employees better and let them know they could have fixed the situation . It was a older middle aged woman too she should've known better . Visit took place on...
