I literally don’t think I’ve ever ever left a negative review, but this is the 2nd time I’ve had a bad experience & as a small business owner, I’d want to know if my employees were losing money for me. About 3 weeks ago, I called 24 hours in advance to see if I could place an order for a few large pans of pasta. The young man on the phone said “we probably only have enough to make 2 pastas because we’ve been so busy…(& then mumbled something about the cost of goods or something?? What?)” I said that’s fine, we can make 2 work for the amount of people we have. He continued to talk about how it was just going to be really difficult for them to fulfill this order. I finally said “would you like me to order somewhere else?” He replied, “yes that would be great” & hung up. My husband & I were just sitting there like… did that just happen? Lol.
Fast forward to tonight. My 7 month pregnancy craving was cheese bread, so I ran up the street since Palio’s appears to be open until 9pm tonight. Lights on, door unlocked, 3 people behind the counter & I ask for a cheese bread. The young man at the counter said “oh sorry, we already turned off the oven.” I said, “are y’all not open until 8 at least? (Since it was 7:40 & the day after christmas I thought they might be closing early)” he said, “we’ve just been slow today, so we shut off the oven”. WHAT. I said “y’all might want to lock the door?” He said they were letting one more person pick up. Ok bye? So awkward, & not one of the other people thought to try to help him out with his awful customer service.
I try so hard to support local, but this makes it really difficult. The Palio’s in Fort Worth is 10000000...
Read moreThis was my first visit to the Aledo location. We've had good experiences at other Palio's locations but tonight I was disappointed. I ordered pizza and two orders of baked wings. When the total was wrung up, it was much higher than expected. I asked the counter person to confirm the price of each item. As it turns out, the price for wings shown in the menu was incorrect. The actual price was almost double the menu price. I canceled the wings and after paying for pizza asked to see the manager. I pointed at the wings price clearly printed in the menu and he said "Oh yeah, that price is wrong". In most restaurants, menu errors are covered with tape or there's some other indication of the real price. Or the order take will alert the customer to the correct price. In most restaurants, the management will make a good will gesture to make up for the misleading pricing. That did not happen here. This manager missed an opportunity.
Rebuttal to owner response: Wow! So I threw the menu? How far did I throw it? Was that before or after I said "you need to fix this" and tossed the menu on the counter? You thought I was rude? Why...Because I didn't say "pretty please"? You say you knew I was frutrated with the situation yet I dined in your store for 30 more minutes and neither you nor your staff made any attempt to address the matter. Another missed...

LATEST EXPERIENCE-Stood around for at least 20 minutes while 10 different tables were dirty and nobody was doing anything to clean them so my party of 7 could sit. One pizza was burned slightly. Couldn't figure out how to get forks washed in the over 30 minutes it took to get food so we had them for salads that also came out the same time as the pizzas. Would have hoped by now this place would have gotten better through growing pains but it doesn't seem that way in fact it seems worse. Food for the most part still seems good so I guess so TAKE OUT ONLY for us here. They didn't even care about the areas lacking attention or the fact that the customer service was not where it should be. They did however want to make sure they do excuses for it. Too bad since we live literally a walking distance from this place so now we have to drive to a different one instead if we want to sit down at Palio's.
Growing pains are going away now!! Lol...came in the first week of opening and chalked the experience up to being BRAND NEW. Every time we come the service gets better and the food is more consistently meeting the standards we are accustomed to at other already established locations. Keep up the good work and see ya next time! By the way GLUTEN FREE pizzas are awesome in...
