Not my best experience with Taylor Street. We have eaten there many times and even catered with them and previously always had a great experience. This time I ordered the family meal deal (2 pizzas with 2 toppings, 2 cheesy garlic bread and a liter of pop for $35 and change. I read my coupon to the person on the phone and she took my order. I asked for my pizza to be well done. She then gave me my total and it was $48 and change. I asked why so expensive and she said prices raised. I was like but it's still a coupon so that is what I should pay. Never before I placed my order was I told the price is not the same. I asked for further explanation and it couldn't be given to me. I went to pick up my order and asked to talk to someone about it. A person from in back came out and said I had an old coupon and it was $37 and change (ok that makes sense). I was then told one of my toppings (bacon) is a premium ingredient and I got changed an extra $7 for it. I wish I would have been told that on the phone. That is a huge premium and I would have changed my topping if I was told that. I have ordered bacon many times and never gotten charged that much. I think this should be told when the order is being placed that the fee is so much for a specific ingredient. Also at pick up I was told the coupon only covered $23 and change not the $35 my coupon said. (Again I get I had an old coupon and it went up to $37, I would have been happy paying that plus tax). When I paid it was $2 more than I was told on the phone. When I asked about this I was told because the price I was told was a cash price and I paid with my debit card. I was never asked if I was paying cash or card. I guess they just assumed because I was picking up. I got home and my pizza was far from well done. There was no brown cheese and the crust was still soft. I think it was undercooked not well done. I will give Taylor Street another chance because as I said I ordered from them many times and always had a...
Read moreTerrible customer service! On Saturday, I ordered pizzas online for pickup on Sunday at noon for a family event. I received an order confirmation with the correct time and date included. However, when Sunday rolled around I went into the store to pick up my food they had no record of my order whatsoever. I showed them my order confirmation and their response was just that the company who takes their online orders did not inform them of the order, so they didn’t have it.
I spoke to the manager, Dan, and all I got was that I could place a new order (and pay again) And wait for new pizzas. No apology, no offer of a refund, no offer to help in any real way. I was stuck with no food for a family gathering in 30 minutes. I went home and ordered from another pizza place and they got me my food fast.
I called later to attempt to get a refund and when the rude young lady who answered the phone finally got me a manager I was told that my food was mistakenly made the day prior and thrown away when I didn’t show up... I called again later and they finally discovered their error. Still...
Read moreBad experience, 1st time ordering from this location. Ordered food for pickup at 7pm and the food wasn't ready until almost 7:30. The staff wasn't apologetic and to make matters worse, the staff kept rotating through the front and back/side area and it was clear they were smoking weed and didn't bother to try and hide it. When they did go back into the kitchen they didn't wash their hands before preparing food. It's a shame because the food was good. I don't like leaving such negative reviews, I attempted to call today to let someone know (assuming they'd never allow staff to do this in their business if they knew) but I was put on hold for nearly 10 minutes and nobody ever came back on the line so I hung up. Since there's another location not even 10 minutes down the same road in Carpentersville, I'll never order here again. I should have checked the reviews 1st. I wouldn't recommend ordering from this location until they fix some...
