Was treated very disrespectfully. Ordered 3 sandwiches totaling over $17. Called ahead, came to the drive-thru window to a tattooed female who looked bewildered that I even pulled up to the window. Then I was chastised with a snarky attitude about pulling up to the window for phone orders, that I need to walk inside in the future or I will be ignored at the window for a long time because she won't even bother to come to the window for future phone orders. The female then took my card and rushed to give me my bag of food then closed her window without so much as a thank you or have a nice day. Now keep in mind I was the sole customer at the shop, yet she just treated me as if I inconvenienced her even though I called about 15 minutes before I pulled up to place an order. If I'm paying almost $20 for 3 sandwiches I expect to be treated with respect and common decency. If you don't want customers coming to your drive-thru for phone orders (even though many restaurants easily accepted this practice for decades) then place a sign on your business so customers can follow your rule instead of being rude to them.
After pondering how I was talked to for a couple seconds, I realized I worked too hard for my money and I don't need to patronize a small business with workers who talk to me as if I'm a nobody after I just paid almost $20 for 3 sandwiches, so I parked my car, walked right in the shop (and the rude female was chatting to another female coworker while the shop was absolutely absent of customers excluding me) and demanded my money back for such an unprofessional interaction. The female who was very unkind to me, asked me why I wanted my money back. I explained to her she needed to work on her attitude and customer service skills as the way she talked to me at the window was rude and that I worked too hard to for myself or my money to be disregarded so rudely. She then attempted to downplay the interaction. I reminded her she didn't even have the decency to say thank you or have a nice day after she accepted my money. If you're going to ask a customer for feedback do not attempt to argue. Accept the feedback, thank the customer and move on.
After she voided the transaction she snatched the bag off the counter as I walked out. I've driven past this place for months and even on weekends during peak hours, have never seen this place full or even a car in the parking lot. First time I came here only one car was in front of me at the drive-thru. If you're inconvenienced over one customer coming up to the window then maybe go be a line cook where you don't have to interact with customers who come to your shop for food. Keep your attitude at home. I worked too hard...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really like this place. Although thereās an expected wait when I come due to them being a bit short staffed or the occasional personal inefficiency, I really enjoy it.
TODAY does not fall into the previous description (apart from the wait; however, it was the latest of waits since Iāve been coming here).
I tried the drive through for the first time in my 10 or so visits in the last month, I ordered the blackberry cold foam white choc cold brew Iāve gotten repeatedly (I usually donāt care for the sweet stuff but this is fire). I get it light-iced and less cream.
After being put on a 6min hold at the drive through speaker, the young lady took my order + a blueberry lemon cookie I thought I saw a week or so ago. She repeated back my order and everything sounded great⦠sounded.
As I got to the window, which is a super cool, house-style window (kinda inefficient but that seems to be the play these days), the girl took my payment and handed me this dried out, pancake of a cookie (not only bc of the size but more bc of its spongey consistencyš¤¢) and āsmallerā drink(not the large one that I ordered), full of ice and tons of foam = no coffee.
After I said I was mistaken, the cookies I was thinking of looked so good a few weeks ago, this looked like an old dried pancake with blue frosting and a lemon gummy on top š I was so mistaken & this tasted horrible and wasnāt fresh or maybe over baked and missing ingredients or something⦠it was terrible.
She was nice and said she removed the cookie charge after I had given it back to her. (āRefundedā)
Well, I looked bc my confidence in this establishment waned and not only was I not refunded but I was rather charged two times for my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been to Hard Bean a few times and every time I have enjoyed my coffee and received friendly service. The coffee here is super delicious! I am a fan of sweet coffees but you can ask them to dial up or down the flavors. I really enjoy their seasonal coffee menu. The Hogwarts latte is one of my favorites on the signature drinks though. I have had the avocado grilled cheese and it was surprisingly really good! The desserts can be a hit or miss. The pizza from dough daddy was pretty good! Sometimes it can be busy but it's always...
