A trip back in time for this wonderful hot dog place in heaven. We had some amazing got hogs, Mac salad, baked beans, cheese curds (aka spicy cheese balls), Mac & cheese and can’t forget the ice cold chocolate milk! The restaurant was very cute and extremely clean. The staff to include the hot dog chef were so friendly and accommodating. Insider fact I learned, you may have your hotdog “fried” if that’s your thing! I HIGHLY recommend bringing your friends and family. I wish I lived near Texas Hotdogs!

Not a bad place to grab a quick bite to eat. The place has been serving hungry patrons for over 100 years, which makes eating here just as much a participation in history as it does a filling of the tank. The staff is experienced and can put together hotdogs faster than you would expect. The food is on the saltier side, so if you are sodium conscious customer be mindful. All in all, it is a good place with lots of history, and certainly worth a try.

One of the few Made-in-Altoona restaurants, and it hasn't changed much over the years. Great place to grab a quick hot dog, and the minced-beef sauce is always my go-to topping! They have some fairly decent sides like fries, fried mushrooms, and cheese balls. Quite affordable, and the employees are efficient and friendly. If you don't feel like eating inside, there are a few picnic tables under a covered patio.

Been here before a few years ago and wanted to give them another try. The service was good, fast and helpful. The atmosphere was kind of a western diner vibe, was clean and orderly. My wife and I ordered Texas dogs with the works and cheese on them, Vale Farms lemonade for drinks, she a side of onion rings and me a side of fried mushrooms. The hotdogs themselves were tasty but the Texas sauce was lacking in flavor and had a slightly sour taste like just a little too much vinegar might have been added. The cheese was just a soft cheddar sauce that didn't impress, maybe should have been a nacho cheese for more flavor. The onion rings were tasty and cooked well. The mushrooms were slightly under cooked and therefore had an odd batter flavor. I don't remember ever having Vale Farms lemonade before but it was delicious and would drink it again if it's sold close to home. Overall I give an average...

In our 3 days visiting PA we checked out 3 different hot dog places and this place came in 2nd. We arrived 15 minutes before the place even opened and there were already cars waiting in the lot so we quickly grabbed a table beside the stream and waited patiently. About 5 minutes before opening I headed to the door to get in line and was quickly waited on, the staff at this place are truly a fine oiled machine. I ordered 2 hot dogs, onion rings, breaded mushrooms, macaroni salad and baked beans topped with their chili sauce. The hot dogs and other assorted munchies were all very good but the star of the show was definitely the baked beans topped with chili, it was absolutely delicious. This place is at the end of a road and there is plenty of on-site parking but please don't let the crowds deter you, they get you in and out quickly and with a smile on your face, looking forward to...

I didn't even want to give this place 1 star only because of the employees, poor attitude and the horrible job they did with our order! We never come to the one out by the Logan valley Mall, but we were out shopping. It was later in the day, and we wanted to get hotdogs! My husband ordered two hotdogs with only 🧀 , and I order two with 🧀 and sauce. We took them to go and decided to eat in the parking lot! Not only were these hotdogs like chewing a rubber band, but they had been slopped together with seriously a cup of cheese that we couldn't even finish them. Just by opening mine, I had the cheese everywhere, and I mean everywhere! I am not bratty or snobby because I can get down with messy food, but those hotdogs had so much cheese I had no idea where the bun was at! This has happened more than one time, and that is why I prefer the one in town! Sorry to be so harsh! I am just...
