East of Chicago — Restaurant in Alliance

I would give them negative stars if I could. I’ve ordered several times a week from them and have spent more then enough money with them, never again. Yesterday I order food for me and some guys I work with and my card was double charged. Later that day I closed that particular bank account for personal reasons and noticed the double charge and called and told them about the extra charge, the lady on the phone said “that happens every time, it happens to me too” that’s funny, never happened before my hundreds of times of ordering. I talked to them two different times and they said the owner would be calling me today to see what he could do to resolve the issue. I missed a call from the shop and got a voicemail from him so after work I went up to resolve the matter, mind you I’m out $56 at this point with no answers. I get there and they tell me the owner said there is nothing he can do while the transactions are pending and that he doesn’t have the money the credit card company does. I then ask again for him to contact me or I’d dispute the charges with my bank. He calls shortly after leaving and tells me the same thing they said and there’s nothing he can do. For ordering as much as we do from them you would think they would take better care of us? I told him I had no choice but to dispute the charge with my bank because of him being incoropative and he said “you can’t dispute anything pending so good luck, I don’t understand why you would cancel a bank account with pending transactions anyway”.. I don’t understand why someone would break into cars, steal things or why it’s his business either but I guess he thought it was for some reason. So after 2 visits to the location, 3 phone calls and a dispute through my bank I’m still out $54 dollars and he hung up on me. He lost mine and all of MAC Trailers business, I’ll be putting a call into corporate tomorrow morning. Rude and unprofessional staff and even worse uneducated owner. If I could give this place a zero I would. I called in my order today 1/5/2024 a lady answers the phone, takes my order everything’s fine she hangs up fast without asking my name. I call back a guy named Jason answers I told him I wanted to pay over the phone I just called (told him my order) gave him my card # everything’s fine. Get to the pizza shop my mom picks it up for us they have no record of my payment. Chad the owner screaming yelling at my mother (while I’m on the phone) saying we did not pay, I showed him my bank I told him everything that happened. NOPE he claims I was lying that I need to pay. I’m asking if maybe someone put my card on someone else’s order and paid for it Chad the owner looks, finds NOTHING he claims. As my mom’s waiting for the pizza she had to repay. A customer walks in and they happen to find my card number on his order AFTER Chad the owner claims I was lying and screams at my mother in front of everyone. He was wrong didn’t even care to look up the orders correctly and didn’t believe us. I will not be coming back here or doing ANY fundraisers involving East Chicago in Alliance!! There’s no reason the OWNER should talk or act like he did towards PAYING customers!!! He then offers us $25 credit and an apology but the disrespect he gave us was unacceptable and unprofessional and I will not...

We ordered from the big 3 (East of Chicago, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns) on the same night (Sunday Jan 25, 2009 @ 5:30pm) at the same time and ordered the same pizzas. We had a few friends over to help us decide. Here was what we found: East of Chicago: Large 2 topping…$13.99 (Price was lower than PH but higher than PJs), Delivery…$1.25, delivery was 20 minutes (Papa Johns and East of Chicago showed up at the same time.), The sauce was very sweet, toppings (including cheese) missed the edge of the crust by 1 ½ to 2 inches in places, cheese wasn’t as smooth as the other places. Everyone agreed...East of Chicago was least favorite of the 3.
