Golden Hour Barbecue — Restaurant in Alliance

A friend and I drove 6 hours just for this BBQ. It’s nationally known and recognized as some of the best for a damn good reason.

The meats are of course the star of the show, and rightfully so. I’ve had BBQ all over the country, and this jalapeño cheddar sausage is the best I’ve had by quite a wide margin. I don’t normally go for the turkey, but again…best I’ve ever had. And don’t sleep on the sides. I had the potato salad and the cornbread casserole — which was the best variation of cornbread anything I’ve ever had.

Flor, Fletcher and staff are amazing! I’m a local and recent broke my foot. It was still very early into opening after five, but they came and opened the door for me, as they saw I was on crutches. I brought in some of our friends from out of state and this was their first time coming to the restaurant. Fletcher was very good at explaining the whole menu and how to order perfectly. He had great knowledge on all of the meats and cuts and what not, which made their experience! I know them personally, and seeing how happy their experience was made was so amazingly refreshing ! Golden Hour BBQ in Alliance, NE is an absolute gem! The meat here is cooked to perfection and the flavors are out of this world. The golden BBQ sauce is a game changer - so delicious and unique.

Not only is the food amazing, but the owners are incredibly friendly and responsive. They truly care about their customers and it shows in every dish they serve.
