This museum is a genuine treasure! The cleanliness, the many artifacts, displays, historical records and truths, gift shop, and the organization of it all are exemplary. There are items and displays that will interest all ages within your family. The museum would grace a larger city, it's that decent. The only sadness I have over visiting is that not more time was spent there, but being pressed for time that day it was my fault and not the museum's. There'll be better planning next time to spend a full afternoon enjoying it... so next time I'll have my camera with me to hopefully help to impart a better sense of this gem, posting the photographs here some time...

This is a very clean and well maintained Museum. Free admission. They have wonderful decorative Arts from the late 1890s in early nineteen hundreds. If you like antiques this is a place to go. They explain the history of this region from the time of the American Indian through the settlers. It is well described with respect to each display. The bathrooms were immaculately clean. It's worth a stop but plan on spending at...

We visited this museum in August 2024. This museum is truly a hidden gem. Don’t let its location in a small town deceive you. Having visited numerous museums across the nation, I can confidently say that this one surpasses many national-level institutions. It features a professionally produced video presentation, and the museum’s organization and layout are masterfully designed, reminiscent of the Smithsonian’s elegance. The friendly and welcoming front desk staff adds to the overall...

Love this place! One of the best museums you can go to! They have an impressive displays and the staff is very knowledgeable. They can accommodate any needs from genealogy to just showing history. They have had weddings and funerals here. The admission is free, and they are able to have meetings with food served. The food is wonderful as well as the gift shop. Parking is street parking. This is a must see!
