One of my favorite places in town to eat! I am here 2-3 times a week and love it every time. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, the servers are polite and helpful, and the food is delightful. I had never liked biscuits and gravy before I had it here, now I can't get enough. The breakfasts are all amazing and very generous portions. For the lunches and dinners, they have a fairly broad menu with burgers, sandwiches, salads, and wraps. And of course the soups! They have a chili and French onion always ready to go plus a new soup every week (my personal favorite is the beef stew). Additionally, they are constantly trying out fresh specials so there is a new treat every week; if this week doesn't suit your fancy, there is sure to be an upcoming one that does. The fries are home-cut and delicious, the burgers are amazing (try the mushroom swiss!), and the myriad desserts are delightful. Great for a solo bite or a meal out with friends and family, I highly recommend the Main Cafe...
Read moreThis place sure looks great now compared to how it used to look. It was my first time here since they reopened I had sausage biscuits and gravy with hash browns and eggs. The biscuits were good except they tasted sweet like maybe they are for a strawberry shortcake and the gravy was part at most. The eggs I ordered sunny side up and the were perfect and not to often that happens in a restaurant. The hash browns were terrible. They looked like a dried out shoelace. I wonder to myself why on Earth would someone take all the time and money to get this place looking great and use a dehidrated hash brown. The waitress was really good at what she was supposed to be doing. The wait for our food was 25 minutes and with only 2 people ajeah of us and 2 cooks working in yht kitchen I would sure hope they could speed up things a little bit as I will be making sure I have plenty of time to wait for my food and hopefully try lunch here next time and see how it is but for now I can only...
Read moreNot only can you count on a good meal at the Main Cafe, you can count on them as a great caterer. The Main Cafe catered my mother's memorial service luncheon recently, and did a fabulous job. I had "winter comfort food" in mind, but that didn't mean I wanted run-of-the-mill comfort food. Canyon made some great suggestions, and was very receptive to my input. When I told him I hoped the macaroni and cheese would be more complex than the basic version with cheddar and elbow macaroni, he assured me that his recipe had four different cheeses and he would be using cavatappi. I knew then that I was in good hands. Everything—the main courses, salads, bars, etc.—was excellent, and I heard many people say how good the food was. The two servers the Main brought were professional, efficient, attentive, and just lovely people. Our family couldn't have been...
