Where to begin... After calling the store multiple times with no answer, we decided to just order online through Grub Hub. No big deal. We placed a fairly large order (pizza, wings, cheese bread, salad, and garlic knots for 8 people) at 6:40pm. We received a text message informing us that our delivery time would be approximately 7:50pm. At 8:00pm, we contacted our driver from Grub Hub, who was waiting on our order and said that he had been informed by Bubba's that it'd be closer to 9:00pm before our order was ready. We continued to wait... During our "wait," we spoke with Grub Hub several times and they were nothing but polite and helpful. When we were finally able to reach a gentleman who actually worked at Bubba's, he began telling us that "this kind of wait was normal for them" and that "most of our customers don't mind." After a fairly rude conversation with him, we continued to wait. Skip to the end... We finally received our food around 9:30pm. Again, our delivery guy was very polite and apologized for the extreme wait. We had also spoke with a gentleman from the Grub Hub office, who offered us a discount (even though we didn't feel it was Grub Hub's fault). Finally, we have our food... At 9:30... We lay everything out and realize that we did not receive our two large salads (roughly $15 of our total bill). So again, we call Bubba's to explain that they had not sent our salads. This time, we spoke with a female worker. This lady was extremely rude and begins blaming Grub Hub for the mix up. Between the man and the lady from Bubba's, we were told how horrible Grub Hub's service is and that they didn't even understand why we would pay MORE money to use them and not just call Bubba's directly. We explained that we had tried but couldn't reach Bubba's on any of our prior attempts. We were then reminded that "this is completely normal for them" and that they are always busy and no one seems to mind. Ultimately, Bubba's did absolutely nothing to correct the situation and were horribly rude throughout the process. We then contacted Grub Hub (again) and explained everything to them. While they could not prove whether they had made the mistake or not, they chose to refund the $15 in good faith.
Now... that's over... Let's just eat and forget about this... Dear..... LORD..... I have genuinely had better pizza from a gas station. None of the food was worth anywhere close to the amount of money we paid for it but worse than that... The pizza was COLD!!! We were ONE MILE from the store... We waited THREE HOURS for a ONE MILE DELIVERY.... and it's COLD! And these were the thinnest pizza's with the hardest, chewiest crust I've ever had.
This is hands down, without a doubt, the single most HORRIBLE food service experience I have had in all the places around the country (and world) that I have traveled. We chose this restaurant BECAUSE of the positive reviews. I can only hope that another family's night is spared because of my post. I will absolutely never recommend this horribly rude, sub par restaurant. I'll opt for bologna and bread...
Read moreWe just drove 16 hours from Michigan. We got settled in to our place. We went to the grocery store and order 3 pizza's at 5:24pm today. The guy told my wife it would be an hour before it was done. She said that was fine. We waited outside the restaurant for 40 minutes before my wife and her friend went in to get it. They said it would be another 10 minutes. That was fine. Well 25 minutes later my wife goes up and ask how much longer well I'm in the car waiting run the a/c because we just got a bunch of groceries for the week we're here. She goes up there remind you an hour and 25 minutes later after we order and he said oh we're just starting your now. My wife said for get it. They guy threw the order away and said ok. No sorry or anything well we have 4 kids and 4 adults very hungry. Our place is 3 minutes from this place so my wife told me what happened in a text when she's in there and on our drive back. I called when we got back and asked for the manager and the guy said he was the manager. I told him what happened and he said i was the guy that help my wife. I said why didn't you offer to deliver our pizza or at least say sorry to my wife. He just keep saying we're very busy. I said i get it but you didn't offer any apology or anything. He said we're busy. I said I would like to talk to the owner. He said he was. He the owner didn't offer anything either. I wouldn't eat here if my life depended on it. The owner doesn't care about his customers. I told him we were here a week and still didn't offer to make anything right. Do go here. Find a better place that knowns how to treat...
Read moreMy wife and I dined at Bubba's this evening. I give it 4 stars which means I liked it more than most other pizza. The last 5 star pizza I had was in Chicago 35 years ago. Understand that half or more of an opinion about a restaurant is a matter of taste. EG.: yesterday we ate a a cafe in Freeport - which had an overall rating of about 4.5. After leaving the place, I commented that it was the worst meal I had had in decades - and meant it. It was awful. My wife echoed that sentiment. And most reviewers give it 5 stars. So about Bubba's: For me - excellent. For my wife - good. We ate the same thing, sharing a medium pepperoni and mushroom pizza with added tomatoes. For me the thin crust was very good. My wife thinks that Bubba could go have a pizza at Trade Winds in Niceville to sample a thin crust she thinks is better - might give him some ideas. My wife observed that the pizza was "saucy" and would have been better with more cheese to balance it. It did rely more on sauce than, say, Bruno's (which we both like - she a little more than I). You are more aware of the sauce than with others you have eaten. But that was a plus for me and a good part of why I liked it as much as I did. The price is not expensive...
