Update to respond the GM. Your ridiculously small ice water OJ was the least of your problems. And your rude insult, wanting to "buy me a juice" just cost you your second star. How about give back the 40 dollars we spent cause the food was aweful all the way around I was being conservativewith my review! Dont be insulting when your food is that bad!! And clearly many patrons do not like it. Beginning with the waitress was super nice....however...let's start with I ordered an orange juice, they served it in a tiny cocktail shooter with ICE?? So 2.50 for about 4oz of OJ. That's in itself is a 1 star so thank your waitress for 2. Second, my husband wanted me to try monkey bread for the first time. What we got was a bread rock my fork wouldn't even penetrate. No joke, I couldn't stop laughing till tears ran out as I thought was a joke đ sadly it wasn't. We waited from that point another hour for breakfast food. And the one thing I pushed to have with my $1.00 slingle slice of sourdough was grape jelly.... I got cold unbuttered toast with NO jelly. And yall the cheesy potatoes are NOTHING like what ya think. They looked so gross. Not sure that they should stay on the menu without classic cheddar and bacon bits.. Whatever the sludge was on top was a no for me. So needless to say with 40 price tag for 2 meals and not a great visit we will not be returning or telling anyone else to cause that was an embarrassing experience đł Not to add to the pain but I sadly watched another couple have to get up 2 times, once to get they own salt and pepper amd another to get a drink refill. Yikes Ovr EZE. Might wanna rethink your food options. I wouldnt consider this a good...
Read moreIâm genuinely shocked by all the negative reviews for OVR-EZE. Did we even eat at the same place? Seriously, let me set the record straight, OVR-EZE is hands down one of the best breakfast spots in town, and itâs a shame people are missing out because of a few misguided comments. The moment I walked in, I felt right at home. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there, how often do you see that? The eggs were perfectly fluffy, the fruits were crisp and fresh, and the smoked sausage added just the right kick. I also ordered a side of the French toast, and let me tell you, it was heavenly! Soft in the center with just the right amount of crunch on the outside, nothing like what some of the harsh reviewers described.Iâve seen people complain about portion sizes, but I left stuffed and satisfied. If youâre looking for some monstrous portion that you canât finish, go to a buffet. OVR-EZE serves well-balanced dishes that donât leave you feeling gross afterward. And the âservice is slowâ complaints? I had my food on the table in under 15 minutes, even with a line out the door. Quality food takes a little patience, and Iâd rather wait for something delicious than get a mediocre plate thrown together in seconds. The atmosphere was also delightful. The vibe was buzzing with people chatting over their morning coffee and enjoying themselves. Thatâs what I want from a breakfast experience!Bottom line: donât let the whiny reviews steer you away. OVR-EZE is fantastic, and the people complaining clearly donât appreciate what a true breakfast gem looks like. Give it a try and see for yourself, you wonât be...
Read moreI've been to this place a few times with friends, and it's been fantastic every time. They're still making a few final changes to their permanent menu, but they've been great at adapting to what folks are looking for. I can't recommend their French toast enough. It's incredible. The hot chicken and Croi-ffle plate is good, with perfectly seasoned somewhat spicy chicken and a waffle made from a croissant. The twisted bacon with a Sriracha and honey combo is fantastic as well. Biscuit and gravy was very good. I haven't had anything bad here.
Terry was our waitress a couple times I've been, and I'd ask for her every time. She's responsive, attentive, kind, and funny. Great service each time I've gone, but Terry really stands out. Great job, y'all. Honestly, I start planning my return as soon as I'm there.
Update: I've been back several times, and every time it's been great. Today was the first time I'd had their sausage patties (usually I do just bacon, but did both today), and it was great, too. The French Toast is still the star for me, though. I love that thick loaf of brioche. Very good.
Update to the update: back again for the holidays, and what a treat this was. They had such lovely decorations up for Christmas. Ornaments on their "tree" on the wall, gift wrapping everywhere. It was just very nice. As usual, the food was too notch. Their French toast really is revolutionary. I love it. The service Areill provided was also great, as it has been a few times when she was our waitress. I wish I could go...
