Let’s talk food first. Ordered a meatball sub, sat down to eat it 5 min later, and the meatballs were cold. Not like they’ve been cooled off cold, like refrigerator almost frozen cold. I didn’t eat it, as I had no clue how long they had been sitting there all day without a warmer being on. I also didn’t drive back to this location because I was on duty in an ambulance and was closer to AMA Blvd location and I went in there for two reason. A.) I wanted a meatball sub and the other locations was a no go, and b) you couldn’t pay me enough to go back and deal with one of those employees. I don’t remember what her name was but the one who waited on me was very sweet, I think her name was Kaitlyn she just desperately needs retraining. (And she was extremely flustered by the way her fellow employee was acting g with the customers ahead of me) My first sandwich she forgot to ask me what veggies, cheese and sauce I wanted on it and just wrapped it up. I’ll be honest I share some of that blame because I was watching the horror unfold next to me. But when she unwrapped it to add said stuff she did so with her bare hands and picked up my sandwich with no gloves, immediately realized she did and asked me if I wanted a new sandwich which was kinda obvious. Also she wasn’t wearing a uniform shirt which I thought was weird but maybe she was new and they just hadn’t come in. My two stars given was just added because of her attitude, it saved it from being a one star across the board. Now let’s get to HER lovely coworker. I don’t think in all my years of eating at locations all over the US have I encountered someone with such a Terrible attitude towards customers. She was forced to remake an order 3 times because she literally ignored the instructions written down on the to go order. I watched her repeat the order back to them and after the second time she messed it up on purpose to get them to leave without a refund. The lady was almost in tears ordering. It was atrocious, and I’d honestly be incredibly embarrassed if I was working along side her OR if it was my store she was doing that in. At one point the lady asked for no onions so she added onions and then got mad when she was told no onions. So the next sandwich that DID have onions she grabbed two great big handfuls and put them on there even though the instructions clearly CLEARLY said LIGHT onion. It was enough that even those who asked for extra would balk. I genuinely felt bad for this couple. I don’t care what kind of bad day you have, your customers are your bread and butter, you run off too many and you won’t have a store. Also the store was freaking filthy. They had food mixed with other food, the prep area obviously hadn’t been cleaned, the floor was a mess and the tables and soda machine were dirty. I won’t be back to this location unless the owner or mgr shows some active action and improvement to staff/ training/ and...
Read moreOn 3/3/24 I went into the Washington Street location, subway and ordered a foot-long buffalo chicken sandwich toasted with three cookies . When I get home, I discover my cookies are not in the bag and the sandwich is not toasted or prepared the way I had asked I did not get to see the way my sandwich was prepared due to the covering still being up while my sandwich was being made. 3/4/24 i experienced a illness in my household Making it to where I could not go into Subway to resolve the matter, on 3/5/24 at 8:30am I called into the store The district manager, by the name of Tony who I now know lied about his name and name is “Robert riconpo?” answered the phone. I tried to explain to him the problem I was having, and how I was not satisfied with my order this district manager, Tony not only brought up the race of his employees calling him a “new big black man” but proceeded to get very argumentative with me up to the point he hung up in my face. With me, being a busy business owner, college student and single mother, this was a situation I needed to have addressed early in the day due to my busy schedule with Tony answering the phone at 8:30 AM I believed they were open for business, so I proceeded to go up to the location Only to find he would not open the doors to me to Address this matter even at 8:58 AM, two minutes before opening time. I proceeded to wait in my vehicle Until 9 AM when the location opens. moments later to my surprise, Amarillo police officers show up surrounding me. Tony, the district manager, without even hearing an explanation from myself as the customer or attempting to fix the issue that could’ve easily been resolved by either replacing my order or giving me a refund called Amarillo Police Department to resolve a CIVIL matter that he could have done so himself . Amarillo police department tried to get him to fix the situation And deescalate the issue to no avail. Tony refused to give a refund or remake my order. Instead, Tony proceeded to barricade himself inside and have myself trespassed. I will be fighting the trespass warning through the courts . I asked Tony his last name. I also asked for corporate numbers and any way to file complaints above him and he would not cooperate when asked what his store number was or the transaction ID number was so that way I could make a online complaint he refused to give that information as well, I do not think he is Mentally stable or competent to be in such position of authority. After speaking to staff at other locations in Amarillo that Tony is district manager over I have quickly learned this behavior is very common for him . I would love for corporate to reach out regarding this situation as I will be going to court for it soon. I am a college student and visited the location often as it is up the street from the school . This was very very unfortunate and I hope is...
Read moreShame on the manager and shame on the owner. This manager has abused his power by total neglect of his employees. For a fact of one employee he continually took off work weekly with his assistant manager wife leaving one employee to work slave like hours. They would go in so early in the mornings long before one customer would come in only to get stoned in the back room and leave extraordinarily early. Calling that a full day when "said" employee could take no more after a period of time she quit. His punishment for her was not to change her address on her W-2... Refused multiple requests by her and the IRS to rectify the situation. Refused to answer phone calls and any other means of communication available. And as if that punishment wasn't enough would not respond to the many requests of CCMS to last day of employment information so that she could have daycare to continue to work. The list of employees that he has taken advantage of and abused are atrocious. He is an abomination of character. Even more so I have to wonder about the character of the owner who continues to allow this man to run his store and manage and abuse people. If you are thinking about applying here save yourself the hell. If you think about eating here his food handling is just as bad as how he treats people. I hope people will boycott his store and go the extra mile to a Subway not owned by a Mr.Horkie. These people not only give Subway a bad name... They give...
