This place used to be really good, now it's just getting gross. The women's bathroom smells horrendous. Last time I had chicken there it was raw. Literally bleeding. They say they close at 10, the bartender will do last call at 9 so everyone leaves by 9:30. The staff will start mopping in front of you while you're eating/drinking. It's disgusting and kind of rude. It's basically saying "we're waiting for you to leave". If it was my restaurant, no one would be mopping until every guest was out. The fun is gone, the energy isnt there. I've been going there since they've opened and it has gone down hill. There used to be live music and tastey shots but now it's just another dingy Lamesbury bar. I wish they had better beer on tap, too. At least change it up and have a seasonal rotating tap. RMA has amazing beers that would bring in new customers if Yang had them. Maybe work with Barewolf and get good local craft beer. This place has so much potential and if they started collaborating with local Amesbury businesses, this place could be amazing.
Edit as of July 29th: I went there recently because a friend of mine wanted to go get Sushi. Not much has changed in 4 months since my original review. I did notice that the women's bathroom didn't smell badly anymore... So that's good. Unfortunately the service was still mediocre, the same boring beer choices on tap, and basically empty the whole time we were there. It's turning into a senior center honestly. Their big competitor is Game Time. Game Time has live music, trivia, axe throwing, local beer on tap, outstanding food. They also don't close until 11:30pm on Friday's and Saturday's. Yang used to stay open later, but I'm not sure if there is a staff issue, but they close around 9pm to 9:30pm on the weekends. Obviously Yang Ming has them beat on sushi, but I can't think of any other place in Amesbury that does sushi. It's a huge bummer because YM really does have the potential to be great, but I feel like the owners just don't care. They know they have less foot traffic, too. They'll ask people why and people respond. The owners don't change a thing, so here we are.

Yang Ming, Besides the fact that the wait for our food was utterly ridiculous, my fiance waited literally 30 mins for his food, after they had brought my food to me after a resonable wait. There was an insect cooked into my food, very visible. When I called our waitress over to bring it to her attention(after waiting 15 mins for her to acknowledge me) she tried to tell me that the bug wasnt there. So I asked to see the manager. We waited another 10/15 mins for him before I finally went to the "hostess station" to demand to see the manager again. When the manager finally made his way to our table, I showed him the bug in my food and the guy tried to tell me that it wasnt a bug again. It was VERY clearly a mosquito. I had to look him in his face and tell him to stop being ridiculous, bc it was clearly a bug. He then agreed and started to take my plate away saying that he would bring me new food. I then told him that I didnt want another plate and was just trying to alert him to the issue and also the fact that I wasnt paying the bill. At this point, i had literally only taken 2 bites of my food and my fiance hadnt even had the chance to eat before I saw the bug. The Manager proceedes to try and tell me that he would remove my plate from the bill, but that my fiance had to pay for his plate. At this point, I was getting frustrated at his complete lack of customer service and stopped trying to keep the situation quiet and respectful. I told him that I was not paying for the food and that we were leaving. The manager then announced in a loud voice that we were to leave and not come back. I couldnt even believe how rude and completely disrespectful this man was to his customer. Evidently, he doesn't care if he loses customers with his terrible attitude. I almost wish that I was able to be such a jerk and make a huge scene over this. It was such a horrible experience that even though I have never written a review for any place before, I sought this resteraunt out to share...

The owners really care, but let me tell you how I know this...
We ordered delivery on a Friday night, when I called I had little cash and no idea what we wanted... So I asked the person that answered the phone what they had for specials for a man ballin on a budget? Now it's a busy Friday night and the guy could have not been cooler and within minutes he steered me in the right direction and the order was placed. 15 minutes later the food arrived and I told the delivery guy that the person answering the phone was unbelievable and an amazing help and to tell him thanks for me...The delivery guy replied "That was me!" I thanked him again and we laughed...Turns out he was the owner.
It really goes to show when the owner is in the trenches and is helping customers at all ends of the spectrum in the restaurant business it really separates them from the rest.
