I've heard so much about this new Bakery on Anaheim Hills Buzz Facebook page the past months. Decided to pay a visit myself on Saturday morning 4.29.23 Met up my girlfriend here for some great catch ups over yummy drinks & pastries. Located off Fairmont & Santa Ana Canyon. Same plaza as Medi Kitchen & Right next to Aqua Swim school. Omg i fell in love with this bakery. Exactly what everyone was boosting about. It's like Heaven in here. Especially the aesthetic decor. Super cute bakery w greenery hangings from the wall & cute pink cherry blossoms tree along w a bike decor. It's the cutest to meet up your girlfriends for some sweet treats. I can spend hours here having some mama/girl time. Feels like a bit of Paris Vibes cute bakery. The cake sells itself and all the yummy pastries are to die for! So pretty decorated. Service is amazing here. Met the co owner. I believe her name was Ellie was it. She's really sweet. Got to talk to her. Told her I'll be telling my local Yorba Linda Buzz about Choco. Also owner Eilbert was genuinely nice also. We accidentally dropped the cupcake we got. He was so nice to replace it for us at no charge since the one we got wasn't touched at all. Kids knocked it down and he saw. Such great customer service!

What I enjoyed...

~Napoleon custard was so scrumptious. The custard was the perfect sweetness. Not too sweet. The layers of pastry on the napoleon was the best texture, it was not any hard pastry. I want more reviewing this! ~Eclair also was perfect cream. Not sweet at all. The chocolate coating on top was delicious. ~Chocolate Cupcake was moist and good. Recommend ~Lavender Latte was very subtle. Only thing I'd say is the dried lavender leaves on top gives it that lavender vibe and aroma. I'd say if you don't like sipping on dried leaves. Best to ether request for none of the lavender leaves to be topped on the drink or as for not too much. It does end up getting into my drinks itself. Other than that, it was the Perfect blend. ~Rose Latte was good.

I'm eyeing the cakes. I'll definitely be back to grab a cake here in the future. Love how they carry 6 inch cakes also for walk ins purchases and ready to be picked out. Along w 8 inch cakes.

Pastries I'll be back to try more, love their individual sizes where you can pick up different varieties to bring for a potluck/gathering or hosting a party yourself. Great for Tea parties or a treat for friends/you just to enjoy, love love the different variety of assortments here! You can't go wrong stepping foot here.

Choco Bakery! Can't wait to return! Luckily you're just a neighboring city away! But also that's what's bad...lol I'm Addicted to you already! You're really a great addition to the Anaheim Hills/Yorba Linda area. Such a...

If you're craving premium desserts, and willing to pay premium prices, Choco will satisfy your sweet tooth.

Food: I've been here a few times but this review will focus on the 3 things I order last: chocolate roll cake, Dubai cheesecake, vanilla latte.

I'm not big into roll cakes but tried the chocolate version based on the cashier's recommendation (she said it's one of the most popular). It was soft and moist, and while I was in love with it, I think roll cake fans will be impressed. The Dubai cheesecake was delicious! The outer chocolate layer was thick and tasty while the inner cheesecake was firm and creamy. It didn't have a tremendous amount of pistachios or filo (essential ingredients in Dubai chocolate), but still just enough to qualify as Middle Eastern inspired. Last but not least, the vanilla latte was a solid coffee. The barista went out of her way to make it with condensed milk because I mentioned my Dad (who drank it) preferred Vietnamese iced coffee. Not quite the same, but their drink was still satisfying, according to my Dad.

The Setting: The store is neat, clean, and nicely organized. It's not the biggest, so don't expect to find space if you come with a large party to hang out. Most people order to go, but it could serve as a nice place to study or a cozy hangout for a couple.

The Drawbacks: Oddly, they had an empty drink dispensing machine sitting on top of a counter beside the guest tables; that space could have been used to house things like more napkins, sugar packets, utensils, condiments, etc. Also, the day we went, the espresso machine was down, so I couldn't order any drinks that I wanted. And then biggest drawback are the prices. Everything has a "luxury tax" in the sense that you're paying anywhere from 50 cents to $2 more for an item simply because this shop is in a nice neighborhood of Anaheim Hills. Go to a bakery in Fullerton, Orange, or West Anaheim and the prices will be lower and more affordable for the same desserts.

The Service: Fortunately, the two employees were incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Truly A+ customer service!

The Conclusion: If you want a wide variety of quality desserts and drinks, and you're willing to pay a premium for them, then Choco will...

Very disheartening experience and poor customer service if you want to cancel an order or unhappy with an item. I had 2 family celebrations within a week of each other. All I wanted to do was cancel the second cake order that I prepaid for because the first cake ordered was not a hit. Only 1/2 of it was consumed.

I had to work for a resolution and was made to feel like my patronage didn't matter. Sure it was told to me with a smile, but I am no fool. Especially after wasting time and energy.

Business is business and employees should have enough confidence to troubleshoot a simple solution and not leave a customer to resolve a refund no matter what the amount is. Regardless of if the owner was on a day off. I was told to DM the owner to figure out how to get my money back. It took 3 days and all my effort to close this matter. The bottom line is the owner didn't care and thought I was mean. She told my husband that when he had to revisit to process a refund.

I really give 0 stars. It doesn't matter how good a product is- when you don't take care of your customers. Let's be real, not everyone will like every product. Your employees should know how to resolve that on the spot. Own it and train who represents your product on all business days that you are open. You think I care that you the owner, were off? I was not mean, I was not worried about my refund. I was frustrated at your business structure and accountability. Take the constructive criticism....

Quaint bakery with a good variety of daily items. We all have our preferences. We tried several items... Strawberry cake (very pink) pretty good. Cannoli: overly sugared filling, very thick, we prefer creamy whipped. Tres leches: good, we appreciated the strawberries. Eclair: good shell, but I think the filling is more pudding than custard. Chocolate truffle: very decadent. Baklava w/walnuts: good, on point in flavor. I would come back for more baklava and Tiramisu; well balanced with light cream, not too thick and had the right amount of coffee. Customer service was quite friendly and greatly appreciated. The ladies answered all questions, very helpful.

A Delightful, Delicious Find for a Craving. 👍 PROS: It was an easy find, via a quick search for bakeries in the area, and the entire experience was smooth - stylish atmosphere, aesthetically pleasing spread of treats, simple ordering, and friendly service. Enjoyed each item, with flavors and sample-to-small sizing. Affordable pricing. CONS: I could see the parking lot getting potentially more full at times, given the successful little businesses surrounding it, but not enough reason to not visit. If you're in the area and want a sweet, visit. ✌️
