Bottom Line Up Front: I've never felt so conflicted writing a review, because half of me loved this place and the other half felt ripped off.

The Food: I had the stuffed quesadilla with asada (beef) and it did not disappoint. The meat was flavorful and moist while the white cheese was soft and gooey. However, the tortilla could have been crisped up a little more, as the gooey inside made the tortilla so soft that it ripped too easily and fell apart. Still delicious though.

My wife has the 3 street tacos for $9 and, wow, talk about being disappointed. Firstly, the tacos are mini size. Like, smaller than the palm of your hand. Second, they came with sour cream -- not very authentic. Third, you'd need six tacos to get you remotely full.

Next, the accoutrements were nothing to write home about. The salsas were just OK, and the pickled carrots and radishes were bland and not very plentiful -- literally just 2 or 3 pieces per person. The horchata was average at best.

The Setting: Firstly, it's listed as the super generic "Street Taco" online but the sign out front says "El Street Taco." Second, even though it looks like a sit-down restaurant, you can't go inside. They've set it up as a stand with only outdoor seating. The cash register is behind these tiny windows that you have to duck down to look through if you want to see the cashier; super awkward. Overall, it's clean and organized, but there's not enough garbage cans and it's not very cozy or inviting -- and especially not for the prices you're paying.

The Service: Our server was fast, friendly, and efficient -- a true plus for the business.

The Conclusion: The quesadilla was so good, but the rest of it left me wanting. From the outdoor-only seating, the weird window setup, the undersized tacos, only go to "Street Taco" if you're prepared to get street-cart quality food at sit-down...

Do you want an authentic "street taco" experience? Well this is the place for you. You'll be right next to the street! You'll enjoy all the sights smells and sounds of the street. Minimal shade, buzzing flies, mosquito bites, honking traffic, and no climate control of the Southern California weather. Because you're literally next to the street. Getting hot and want a cup of water? Oh they don't offer that. But they are happy to sell you a bottle like this is an outdoor concert or music festival. Sure sure, you've said much about the ambiance but. Is the food worth it? Let me stop scratching my mosquito bites and answer. There is nothing special about these very small street tacos sized tacos. The asada was so dry. So so dry. The polo was also very very dry. The chorizo was acceptable. The carnitas were good. And I don't know if it was just that by then my expectations were sufficiently lowered but the fish tacos were amazing. Maybe it was just the slaw on the fish tacos that gave it flavor and moisture that my body was demanding. The carnitas fries were 11 bucks, which seems excessive but they were the best part of the meal. The fries were perfectly cooked, and because it was covered in sour cream the asada wasn't that dry. Plus they had beans on the asada fries which helped out. Would I go back? No. The parking is difficult. The location is remote. The seating is awful. But if you find yourself in the area, and you like fish tacos, I'd say try it out. No one is doing anything wrong there. The employees are friendly, the quality of the ingredients is fine, the prices are ok for 2022, and at least they are trying to stay in business. I just didn't care for the recipes or the policies or...

As soon as I landed in Cali I knew I needed a taco fix. I, for the life of me, cannot find a decent fish taco in Virginia Beach.

So after a trip to Re-Mart for some clothes shopping I passed by this place and turned around. It had nice outdoor seating and the weather was perfect for dining outside.

I ordered two fish tacos and a large mango pineapple drink. So good! The fish was moist, flaky and soooo crunchy on the outside. It had cabbage, onions and pico. A avocado salsa on the side. Their sauces are Absolutely delicious. My only regret is I couldn't stay longer, could of easily had 2 more tacos!!

The staff is super nice and the outside dining tables are very clean. There also shade to sit under. Definitely check this place out!!

Edit: I've read some people are complaining about the pricing and honestly it's mind boggling people seem to forget that prices on all food is up. A McDonald's dollar chicken sandwich in 2019 is now 3 to 4 bucks in 2024. Taco bell crunchy taco was 1.19 in 2019, now it's 2.18 if not more. Rent and gas also up... Honestly, please use your...

So bomb! And the people were so nice! Definitely have to try this place, it has everything that makes up a legit “foodie” spot, without the foodie spot type of prices. Burrito I got was called like au pape Burrito or something like that, had cheese melted on the outside. Type of thing you just don’t get at your typical Mexican food restaurant. So good & filling. Thank you so much, may the Lord bless you.
