OC Wine Mart & Deli — Restaurant in Orange

My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner for our wedding this summer here and they did a beautiful job! We had about 45 people present. They made a Grazing table filled with crackers, cheese, salamis, nuts, fruit and chocolate that was beautiful and so delicious! We also ordered the pasta and meatballs, sandwich trays, and ceasar salad which were a big hit as well. Everyone loved the self service wine and beer and the employees even kept tabs on the amount spent so that we didn't go over budget! Candace did a fabulous job of being up front about costs, gratuity, and fees and met with me beforehand to ensure that everything was geared towards our group. She made great recommendations and was very kmowledgeable. She also made the tables and set up look so classy for our event! Decided to try OC Wine Mart & Deli for the first time on a Saturday night. We wanted to try the Charcuterie plate (CP) to go. The staff was young. The young lady who was helping me could not answer my questions about the Cheeses that we were available for the CP. I was literally laboring to draw out information from the young lady about what were the best flavors to combine. I went as far as telling her that this was my first time here, and I wanted to try the best of what they had to offer. Luckily, one of the Kitchen staff rolled by with a Charcuterie plate he was delivering to some clients on the patio. He gave me advice, and I followed it. I live in Washington, DC, and was wanting to send my grandma who lives in Orange, CA, some wine for her birthday. I was also wanting to shop somewhere local to her and I found OC Wine Mart & Deli on Yelp ... and I'm so glad I did! Julie, the owner, helped me pick out two very nice wines over the phone, arranged them in a festive gift bag, included a hand-written card with a message from me, and ensured it was delivered to my grandma on her birthday ... complete with the delivery person apparently saying, "Happy Birthday, Grandma" as he handed her the bag when she came to the door :) My grandma was so surprised, and it absolutely made her day!
