Tucker's Tavern — Restaurant in Anamosa

Nothing like traveling from out of town, bringing a large amount of people to support local business and recieve AWFUL service! Our child accidently spilled water brings it back and tells our kid "don't spill your water again" and walks away, food took 1.5 hours to get, the food was awful and NOT worth the wait. Never came to check for refills but 1 time & pop was flat. Went to counter for to go boxes and where our last 2 orders were we were still waiting on, one was just put in the oven and the other was forgot about. When we asked for a to go box and forget the rest of the order if it was started, they brought the nachos out to us, set it down rudely, the salsa container wasn't closed all the way, salsa coming out the sides and on top of the container, no apology no respect. Pizza is NOT "the best around" sauce tasted like lunchable pizza sauce, my loaded fries were over cooked and the hamburger on the nachos had an awful taste to it as if it's been warmed up 10 times before they served it to us and food is OVER priced. We were the only table when arriving, they worry about to go orders being placed and completed before dine in customers and service at the bar is more important. Worst experience I've had. On Valentine's Day, I walked in and heard cheery greetings and saw that chocolate kisses were in the middle of each table. Rhonda and Teresa were delightful, helpful, and efficient! They answered my questions about how the pulled pork, mashed potatoes, and gravy were prepared so I could determine that it was safe for me to eat. I have Celiac Disease, so it was important to know that the dish did not contain wheat, barley, or rye. It tasrlted excellent, and was a very generous portion for lunch. As my friend and I ate, Rhonda brought a piece of red velvet cake for each of us, no charge! Since I couldn't eat it, she put it in a to-go box so I could take it for a family member to enjoy. The passionfruit margarita was also delicious. I will find a reason to go back there...

Would definitely normally recommend this place to anyone. But tonight ordered the 2 topping calzone less than a minute after my friend ordered a pizza in a hour they got the correct pizza a hour later a calzone that was not even close to what I ordered was offered to me I asked to get what I ordered 2 hours later I got what I ordered and I asked why I was paying full price for a mistake I didn't make i was called out as being rude for asking for what I ordered definitely disappointed tonight. Not asking for anything for free but pretty insulting being treated like I was because someone didn't read the order correctly I seen what was written on the order as I asked for it. And that I should pay for it because...
