Spaulding's Food & Drink — Restaurant in Andover

Usually we love the service here and everything is amazing. Tonight was a bit different. The staff was all very friendly as usual and the place was reasonably busy when we arrived. We we're in a big group but arrived later than the rest so didn't order at the same time. We ordered, our drinks came, our friends food came and time passed. They got their tickets and we continued to wait. Our friends needed to leave so they did. It had been 1 1/2 hours since we ordered food so I went up to the bar to check on how it was going and to make sure it was put in. Unfortunately I was correct in thinking something was wrong because it in fact had not been ordered for us. Hungry and a bit frustrated since half the bar had cleared out we were ready to leave and they still wanted to charge full price for our drinks after making us wait an hour and a half on food that was never coming. After asking they did finally agree to discount the order for the trouble. We left. We do love this bar and the servers but tonight was an avoidable situation that left us feeling upset leaving at 8pm still very hungry when we came to eat dinner at 5:30. The waitress didn't mean for this to happen and we know mistakes are just a part of being human but it's unfortunate our evening had to end this way. I hope she isn't reprimanded or anything for this but the bar itself should have offered to take care of something after it happened not just send her over to basically tell us we had to just...

Came here on Super Bowl Sunday🏈. Place was beautifully decorated. We had a decent size group of 8 people but there was hardly anyone in the whole place. The waiter had to be called over to take our order because she took so long. And then they didn’t bring out the appetizers first. We probably wait half an hour for the first batch of food to come out. I thought it was taking so long because they were going to bring it out all at once. But no. So the first four plates came out. Mine was completely cold.... and they forgot the fried pickles (which should’ve come out first anyways). Then ten minutes later, 3 more plates came out. And finally, the other guy who also got the Mac and cheese, his came out and was warm. So I’m not sure why they didn’t cook the two orders of Mac and cheeses together🧀🧀. And why mine was cold and his wasn’t. Based on it being cold, it didn’t taste very good. Then after we were all done eating, waitresses kept coming by to bring us sample foods. They also started putting peanuts and popcorn on all the other tables. Which was completely ridiculous because why didn’t we get those when first entering? Not when we were all full and done. Very strange. And they didn’t apologize for the food taking forever. I did see the fried pickles was taken off my check though, which was either nice or they forgot to add them on. Either way, the place was super cute but it was a very poor...

Great hamburgers, onion rings and fries....but the side salad was served with mostly old looking brownish rust colored hard white iceburg lettuce pieces. I literally could only pick out maybe 10% of the lettuce that had some greenish color to it that seemed halfway edible. So dont ever order a side salad here. The speakers in ceiling that were broadcasting various sports games was very loud and made it impossible to have conversation at our table in this place. I'll never understand the logic of keeping volume up so loud that diners need to yell when talking...which then adds more noise to the room making it even more difficult to have conversation at the table.

The entire meal was constantly saying: huh?, whats that? do what?....then leaning fwd to get ur mouth closer to the ear of ur friend and repeating it in a yell voice.

The waitress was very nice, but even she had to bend down, turn head so her ear was toward the person's mouth so could hear what...
