Sweet Hearts Patisserie — Restaurant in Annapolis

Everything about this patisserie is absolutely divine! I have been coming here for several years mainly for the french macarons. They are hands down, the best macarons I have had outside of France. The quality of ingredients and baking truly shines through. Also, the wide array of flavors makes is always interesting and fun.

I have also ordered several cakes from Sweet Hearts, and each has been fabulous. Pictured is my most recent cake. My boyfriend wanted to do something special for my quarantine birthday, and knowing my love of Sweet Hearts, he ordered this custom floral birthday cake for me. He said the ordering process was easy and the customer service was outstanding. As you can see, this cake is an absolute work of art! The pictures don't really do it justice, it is simply divine. Once we had the heart to cut into the cake, we found the most delightful, flavorful cake either of us have ever had. This cake made my quarantine birthday extra special.

Additionally, I've ordered several online shipments from Sweet Hearts, and each has been delivered on-time in perfect condition. The package I sent to my grandmother had a stunning assortment of baked goods, sweets, and tea. Being in quarantine alone, she was so thrilled to receive a beautiful package.

The macarons and petit fours are the best I've ever had (only place I can even find petit fours) but what I'm really here to talk about, is the cake.

I can't speak for the celebration cakes but I'm sure they're wonderful.

The gourmet cake however....specifically the Amour Chocolat, is the best chocolate cake I'll ever eat. That's right, future tense. No chocolate cake will ever beat this one.

The best part about this cake, is that it wasn't even for me. I don't even like cake like that.

This cake was for my boyfriend's birthday a few weeks ago. I have never and will never meet a fat kid on this entire planet that loves cake, specifically chocolate cake, more than my guy.

I wish I'd recorded him taking that first bite. The level of joy that radiated from him (and me from watching his joy and knowing I chose wisely!) Is something I will cherish forever.

So yeah, if you were thinking, "man that cake looks incredible but is it reeaally priced properly?" The answer is yes. Yes it is. Just get it. You won't regret it.

Went here because a friend of mine was raving on social media about it. I'm always excited to try bakeries, as I used to work at one. Another friend and myself drove 25 minutes to Annapolis. The store front is very cute, the displays were beautiful... however, the staff and the treats were very poor. The young lady helping us was rude, never made eye contact with us and rushed us while we were browsing. It happens, I understand. We got petit fours, 1 cupcake to share and macroons. The Macroons were good. No complaints there! The petit fours were VERY dry, we took a bite of each and discarded the rest. I was hesitant on buying the cupcake as it looked burnt and the icing was VERY shiny. I should have known better. I literally took one taste of the "buttercream" and had to throw the cupcake out.
