First time at Hillcrest taphouse here in Antioch, the owner sat me down at a table. It took about 15 minutes before a waitress came and asked what I would like to drink and left a menu for me to look at I kind of knew what I wanted so I waited for her to come back. She never came back. I saw other people trying to wave down their waitresses. No one came to them either so I sat there for about 20 minutes and finally someone came and asked me what I would like for dinner I gave my order. My dinner came and it was absolutely horrible. It was greasy it was cold. It tasted like it was old food so I did not eat but a few bites of it. All I wanting to do was get up and go could not get anybody to come to give me my ticket . I was about ready to just walk out. I was so fed up with this place. Finally someone came I paid my bill did not leave a tip because of extreme poor poor service, I do not recommend this place at all. this is the very first time I ever made a Yelp review on a restaurant, but I just cannot believe the service of this place as I said before I would never go back here and I don’t recommend people going either This is just my opinion maybe this is just a one time affair that this happened I don’t know, but all I know is I won’t...

Read moreI’ll start by noting that this place has not been updated properly on the map, which was confusing. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing, and my partner and I left unsatisfied. First, the menu needs to be corrected. I ordered the shrimp scampi with angel hair pasta, but was brought a completely different dish. When I sent it back, they returned the same dish, telling me the item listed on the menu wasn’t actually available and was a mistake. My partner ordered the chicken Alfredo fettuccine, which was overly oily and came with burnt bread. The presentation was lacking overall. As for the dish I ended up accepting, it was also far too oily and overloaded with onions—the shrimp had some flavor, but the noodles were bland. While the manager did apologize and gave us a coupon, we won’t be returning. Additionally, there are no Indian dishes on the menu anymore, which was one of the highlights of the old Taphouse. Please bring back the original Taphouse we all knew and loved—we truly...
