El Machete Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Antioch

My husband and I have this place a shot tonight and we couldn’t be happier! We were greeted the moment we walked in by everyone with a smile! That goes such a long way! My husband asked if they had ground beef as an option for a burrito and they said they only have it for the crispy tacos. No big deal he said! Then the cook asked if this was our first time in? We replied yes. He then said he would make him the ground beef bean and cheese burrito ! So sweet right? Anyways we purchased some horchata and a Fanta glass bottle and sat and waited for our food in the restaurant! It was quiet we went before the dinner rush. Got home and wow were we amazed at how yummy the food was ! We will definitely be returning since my MIl gave her seal of approval on the chile relleno she got and ate the whole thing! I recommend you give this place a shot! You won’t be disappointed by their food or their friendly service. Well...

Asada street tacos 3/5... honestly the taste of the carne asada was not flavorful at all but the taco was more than edible. Pollo asado street tacos 5/5...the chicken was a slightly burnt but it didn't take away from the overall taste of the taco. Would definitely get it again. Fish taco 4.5/5... fish a little dry but taco was delicious. Would get it again. Shredded chicken chimichanga 5/5...this was the star of the show for us. The tortilla wasnt as crunchy as I usually have them but it was still perfect. Definitely getting this again. Bean, cheese, & rice burrito 5/5... my kids had no complaints Horchata 3.5/5... it was a little more on the powdery tasting side than we like but it is possible that I'd try it again.

First i would like to say that i googled the best burritos in Antioch. This place came up. Then i saw there was a chimichanga on the menu. I thought this would be perfect. There was no one in the restaurant and i couldn't wait to get to work to eat this amazing burrito. i ordered the chicken with no beans and no sour cream with light cheese. I got to work and cut it in half, only to find out that i had paid about $14.00 for a fried burrito with rice and cheese. If i could give a less than one star i would. i will never order from here again and i urge others to be aware and check your food...
