If I could give negative 5 stars I would. I have never had a good experience at this Antioch location, but this one is the worst!
1.) I went in to get my 50 wing deal, and was told that they no longer have it, as of a few weeks ago. They have a new menu and the most you can get is 20 wings for $22.99. I ordered the 50 as I always do, and the girl on the phone did not tell me the price. Well, when I showed up I found my bill to be $77! I ordered the garlic fries, which used to cost $2.99. This time it cost me $5.49! That is almost double the price! Well, the wings used to cost $34.99 for 50, now it is $66! Double the price again!
2.) To add insult to injury, I asked the girl on the phone to make sure that they did not mix the wings in the same to go boxes, as I did not want to mix the sauces. So she charged me differently, which made my bill increase by $10! That is something they are supposed to do anyway! They give you different sauces, so they come in different boxes! Now she admitted she shouldn't have done that, so instead of fixing the order, she gave me 20% off when she found out I was about to walk out the door.
3.) Next my order was not good. They literally put some sauce on the bottom of the box and did NOT coat the wings in any sauces. They just set dry wings on a wet spot. And to make matters worse, there was not even enough sauce to coat any wings, but one flavor. I ordered 20 peppercorn ranch and had enough sauce to coat one wing, but ordered 5 honey mustard and had enough sauce to coat about 8..... This is just unacceptable.
4.) My husband was very upset to say the least he was going to go down there and talk to the manager, since they are friendly. I calmed him down and said I would deal with it. When I went to the manager and spoke with him, he didn't care at all. As a matter of fact he tried to lie to me and tell me that they pay $1.00 a wing and only charge the customer .10 cents to cover the labor! Give me a freaking break. It only costs them 5-10% of what they sell them for. I have been around the restaurant business. Most people don't know it only costs fast food and restaurants 15. cents for each large soda, yet they charge up to $8 dollars depending on where you go. That is why McDonald's charges only $1! The manager didn't even care that they ripped me off and made my wings bad. All he said was that I should have been charged $66 dollars, and that she didn't have to give me a discount. Until I pointed out that she over charged me, then he just said, yeah, and then told me the whole menu is doubling! So I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN! 50 wings for $70! NO THANK YOU! Especially when they make...
Read moreDining at Tailgaters wasnât just badâit was like being held hostage by a sadistic clown who makes you pay for the privilege. From the moment we sat down, our waitress greeted us with all the warmth of a cold metal bench in a bus station and the enthusiasm of someone counting the seconds until they can retire to their misery. Every requestâwhether for a drink, a napkin, or the barest acknowledgment of our existenceâwas met with an eye roll so over-the-top it couldâve been a viral video.
After what felt like an eternity in a nightmare, our food finally arrivedâcold, stale, and as appetizing as chewing on an old shoe. But the real slap in the face? This tragic excuse for a human being went ahead and tipped herself 18%, as if enduring her barely-there service was some sort of rare, valuable experience.
If I could rate this place 0/5, I would, and Iâd make sure to write it in permanent marker so no one else has to suffer through this disgrace of a dining experience. If you enjoy paying a premium to be treated like an inconvenience while eating food that could double as a punishment, then congratulationsâyouâve found your paradise. For everyone else? Run. Save yourself from this soul-sucking nightmare disguised as...
Read moreWow - we will definitely be back in soon for more food and fun. I treated my boyfriend to lunch last week for his birthday and even though he only gets 30 minutes off work, we rush over to Tailgaters and were greeted at the door by Cynthia who got us seated right away.
I ordered a taco salad (which was great, though I totally didn't read the description and was hoping it would be seasoned ground beef, but it was chicken on it instead - still good! $11.99) and my boyfriend had a cheese-steak sandwich with garlic fries ($11.99 + $1). This might sound crazy but I've never actually had a cheese-steak sandwich. Not kidding!! I had a bite of his to try it and it was really good too!! Also, the fries had more garlic than I've ever seen - definitely how I like them!
We also had soda and iced tea ($2.99 ea.) No adult drinks for us on this daytime occasion (he's an oncology nurse and I was getting over a cold) but when Cynthia brought out our food she let us know all their ongoing specials and events (happy hour, ladies night, karaoke, etc.) so we'll have plenty of opportunities to go back in the future and have some fun...
