I would give this please three and a half stars but I can only do 3 or 4 and it's definitely not up to 4 part... quite yet. I will say this is one of the cleanest pizza places I've ever seen, it's one of the biggest places and the variety here is quite amazing. My issue is the pizza buffet. The salad portion was phenomenal dot-dot-dot with tons of choices very clean in the all the produce looking very fresh... It was the pizza selection that had me really bothered. There was only two pizzas up there of which they were half and half of something of one another. The problem is I was there a half an hour and had to ask to add new fresh pizza as when I walked in it look like the pizza that was there already... Half eaten I might add... Have been sitting there for quite some time. It took them 30 minutes to put up another Pizza. By then I wanted to go and was ready but was waiting for at least a couple more. So should be some of their busy times. I realize they want to keep it as minimal as possible... But they've got to keep up on that when there's people there. Besides that I will try it again for the pizza buffet and also perhaps ordering a pizza to see if they've improved in that area as well. With a little more work in detail... This could lead be one of the best...
Read moreThis Mountain Mike's is superior to the one further up on Lone Tree. Not only has it survived in a center that is, well, dead, with the exception of a Raleys and it's several boarded up stores away from that. Its been here since at least 1998 when we first moved to Antioch. Orginally, I was going to other one near Hillcrest and even though we order a pizza a couple times a week, they would only give you 2 packets of parmesan cheese for a large pizza. I even offered to pay but tons avail. So I started coming to this one. Unlike the other one, it's got several video games, multiple people working, it's always clean and they've always given my the parmesean I need. I did get some looks from the employee working today who I had never encountered before, again I offered to payout she ultimately gave me extra packets. If you live in Antioch and are choosing between the Mountain Mike's in the Raleys shopping center or the one at Hillcrest, come to the one in the Raleys shopping center. Its well established and you receive far better customer service. And there are always other people in this one. The one on Hillcrest is like a ghost town. That tells you something...
Read moreMy wife loves pizza, I can take it or leave it, I worked for a pizza joint for years when I was younger so I've had my share. Pizza is way too expensive these days but we do enjoy an Everest from our local Mountain Mike's.
They redid the inside a couple years ago and it still feels a bit dated to me, it's always extremely desolate. The salad bar doesn't have the best of choices but it's decent.
The majority of the workers are friendly and competent. We did recently receive a half cheese / half pepperoni after we had ordered a combo. When we called back they said we could keep the other pizza but had to go back and pick up the combination which worked for us.
Mountain Mike's has a really good discount during the football season. Anytime the 49ers win, that week you get 49% off of any large pizza specialty, whatever you want. Which brings it down to about 17-18 bucks for a specialty, which is around what I think it should be, not 36....
