The Breakfast Place — Restaurant in Antwerp Township

After receiving a recommendation for this establishment, I checked it out and even though the food was very good, I received some.of the worst service I've ever had. I even received an apology for the server bypassing me and pouring coffee for a Caucasian customer. She looked at my empty cup and bypassed me and went to a table beyond me. I was unable to finish my breakfast because I felt that I'd been totally disrespected and even racially profiled. Even after such poor service, I still left a generous tip, because I know that a lot of African Americans have a bad reputation of being bad tippers. I'm sure I won't go back to this...

The worst waitress I ever had , a coworker and I was the only people jn the restaurant and it took a half n hour to get our food.She served two people before us that came in 10 minutes after us.I told never mind I don't want it and she gave me the check like I was going to pay.I told her that I'm not going to pay and the cook came out and asked if we want her to box up our food.I wasn't looking for a free meal and like I'm going to eat food that already went back to the kitchen.I guess you only get treated good if you are a local.My coworker never did get waffles , sad.Thanks for waisting our half...

I thought the atmosphere was good. Nothing fancy- kind of homey. I found the prices a couple bucks more than I’m used to. I think almost $3 for regular plain ol’ coffee is crazy. It wasn’t anything special IMO. I had a ham and cheese omelet, hash browns and rye toast. Generous portions. It was good but nothing special. My friend had biscuits & gravy with eggs, bacon and toast. He said it was okay. Our server was great and they kept the coffee coming but our food arrived late and it wasn’t busy at all.
