OMG n WTF How does this place stay in business?! Slow service, bad attitudes and poor quality food. My first experience there, there was dried up food stuck to the seat and table. Later I told the teenage waitress I was allergic to garlic she turned, went straight back to the kitchen and brought me a basket of garlic bread! Later when I was explaining this to my aunt who missed the whole transaction the waitress overheard as she walked passed and started laughing about it! My second time I was there for a meeting, not my choice, I tried explaining to the teenager at the front desk I had food restrictions and would like to talk to my waitress who I couldn't find. She said she was a waitress and I could tell her. I explained in detail what I wanted trying to keep it as simple as possible. As I finished another waitress walked up. The first girl told me to then explain it again to the second girl. OK, so I explained again to the second girl. I walked back to my group with her following. On the way back we passed my waitress. The second waitress then told me to explain it for the third time to my waitress. Even after that the teenage cook ask my waitress three times to clarify what I wanted. So was it that complicated? I wanted no spices on my food, that's it! Lastly, both times I got a dish including pasta and both times it was over cooked dried and hard. Next time if I'm forced to go there I'll eat first. Otherwise I'll find a place...
Read moreI didn't realize 2 large supreme pizzas are worth 48.00!! Top that off, my hisvand had it delivered to work and only had 60.00 and they kept it all. Said they don't carry change and never mentuined that when it was called in. Didn't even offer to hold our change at the store, and let us pick it up at a later time. It was lunch time at a business!! This is ridiculous!! They didn't ask cash or card when the order was placed and didn't ask for a name or mention that they don't carry change!! My husband called the store when the driver informed him of no change and they said there was nothing they can do. No attempt on their part to fix the issue. 6 service guys on a job hungry not about to send the pizza back once it got there. I called when I heard of this craziness of 60.00 for 2 large supreme pizzas. It sounded like kids are running the place. I had to ask her if she would need to take my husbands name and number to make this right tomorrow when he will be back working in that area. She didn't even try to get information or try to make it right. I had to tell her what should have been done for good customer service. We live over 2 hours away!! Thank goodness he will be in that area working again tomorrow. I hope the owner will be there. I think even 48.00 for 2 large Supremes is outrageous!! Max they should be like 35.00. Ask questions folks because the...
Read moreFirst time eating at Grumpy’s. I was impressed. 6 out of 7 of us really liked our meal. The one that was less impressed didn’t ask the right question about sauce when she ordered her meal. Our server, Lily, was off the chain. She offered to replace the entree with absolutely anything else. Lily also knew the menu extremely well and was very attentive and fun. I had the lasagna; it was very good. The larger portion with a side salad was plenty enough food for two meals for me. I also snagged some key lime pie for the road. It too was very good.
The restaurant was nice enough and was clean, which is hugely important. The real winner for me was the amazing service and the food was good and reasonably priced.
Will be trying the pizza next time. I only wish that restaurants that have the name “pizza” above the door actually offered anchovies as an option. Alas, I am in the minority on this one...
