Ate here for our first time yesterday during lunch. I’ve seen a lot of good reviews towards the burgers, steaks, etc. but this is supposed to be a Mexican restaurant and it was the worst Mexican I’ve ever had. For starters, the chips were stale and salsa was flavorless. I got the lunch special #1 which is Chile relleno and a taco with a side of salad and beans. The meat was dry, unseasoned ground beef and the beans were so bad I gagged when I tried them. My husband got some sort of pork, and again it was dry and unseasoned. We weren’t offered any salsa so we had to ask for salsa verde. Salsa roja and verde are usually standard in any Mexican restaurant you go to, but then again so is seasoned food. I understand the location is very white washed and maybe the people around are scared of flavor, but if I wanted typical American cuisine I would’ve gone to McDonald’s. I will say that our server was very nice and attentive and the entire establishment was clean and well kept, but those are the only good things I have to say. Definitely won’t be...
Read moreOk. This is the worst "Mexican" food I've ever had. I ordered a #15 combo. It is SUPPOSED to consist of a tamale, burrito, and an enchilada. The tamale had a line of shredded pork about the size of a pencil lead, and the whole tamale was about 1 1/2 inches long. The burrito and the enchilada were the same "concoction" except one was in a flour tortilla, and one was in a corn tortilla filled with ground meat and everything was covered in a red sauce that tasted bad. Absolutely no food presentation. This was all that was on the plate. My wife had Carne' Asada that was some kind of cheap steak tips that tasted like they had sat in Dales sauce for a week. Now we have lived all over the country, and love authentic Mexican food. This place is Mexican food for people who have never had real Mexican food. Save yourself the misery and go somewhere else. I will say the staff was attentive and polite. That's the only thing this place has going for it...If your in Arab, and want better Mexican food, then Los Arcos is your...
Read moreThe restaurant was clean, a lot of nervous smiles and that was ok. I noticed that other customers were having issues with their meals. Yet I still wanted to give the food a try. I had ordered from the special dinner selection. The red sauce tasted like I was having spaghetti o's. Really the sauce was from a can. They had poured it over the tacos and it wasn't making the meal enjoyable to eat. I had 3 bites and when the server came to check on the meal. He asked me how I was liking it. I replied " its not good" and then decided to tell me other people hadn't complained about it. I told him politely my response in detail because he asked my opinion on my meal. Couldn't take my response to well. My guest and I asked for the check and left. I will not be going back. I don't think they are ready for customers yet. My guest agrees with me that the food was horrible. Try to do better and maybe not have the waiter argue with my choice of food. When it tastes like spaghetti sauce and its supposed ...
