Went for a casual dinner alone. I got there at 5pm to avoid the busy time. My server Anya was very attentive and courteous. I ordered a glass of wine and a small Cesar salad, and a Peppercorn sauce filet of beef. While eating my Cesar salad, I told the server to hold off firing my filet, because I wanted to leisurely have my salad and glass of wine. I was told that the cook (won’t call him a chef) already had my steak cooking and would continue to finish and put it under the heat lamp. So, my steak risotto and asparagus got cooked and stored under the heat lamp while I finished my salads and tried to enjoy the view and my glass of wine. There were only 3 tables in the restaurant at the time. So, the cook, came out to my table and threw the plate on my table without a word. The risotto was like cold oatmeal, and the whole plate was cold. I ask for hot risotto, shortly the cook came and threw a bowl of risotto on my table again without a word. The peppercorn sauce was runny and I counted 3 peppercorns. Not a true peppercorn sauce. I had very high hopes for this meal and went home disappointed. The waitress was very good and the Manager Katie did come to the table at the end. Both were very nice, and Katie was accommodating as far as the meal and ask me to try the restaurant again. When leaving the restaurant, I was at the bar setting my wine tab, and the cook came out of the kitchen to smirk at me. Very disappointed, I feel bad for the rest of the staff who are doing a...
Read moreThe food was really good!! Highly recommend the egg rolls & mozzerella sticks. Hubby had burger I had fried fish & shrimp. I asked if there was a chance they had any type of pasta or red sauce for the mozerella sticks. She said no. But they offer pasta options. A place that only serves ranch with mozzerella sticks.....Meh.... The bartender was extremely slow. We ordered 1 drink each. Took about 10-15 minutes to get an old fashioned and a pickle martini (both on menu) and there were about 4 tables with patrons; slow night. The drinks were very good, strong but not worth the wait. I ordered a margarita as well & never received it. Whether it was the waitress that wasn't the best, or the bartender who was extremely slow, no idea but I canceled it paid & left. Unfortunately it's also on our breakfast agenda for tomorrow. The only positive I foresee is that they sell carafes of adult beverages ..hoping it goes well! Wish us luck!! Food is great!! Atmosphere great (all outdoors) Drinks are delicious! But it takes an extremely long time to get them; even if it's slow time for the Restaurant/Bar; it was way too long for a beverage order. It's a shame.... with a few tweaks this place could be such an amazing experience!!! Hats off to the chef tho; the food was great. I don't understand the delay w the bartender it didn't make much sense while we were there. Highly recommend the egg rolls, mozerella sticks, fried fish &...
Read moreLet me tell you about my brunch experience at Coasters.
I had never been here before, but after trying it, I can confidently say that I would go back again and again. The portion size for the price was totally worth it, and the food was so good. The atmosphere was great, and the view of the water made it the perfect brunch spot.
Our waitress was very attentive and accommodating. She gave us some good recommendations and kept our glasses full which I really appreciated.
I ordered the classic breakfast with added ham and a waffle. The over easy eggs were cooked to perfection, and the seasoned potatoes were incredibly flavorful and crunchy. The ham slices were thick and delicious, and the bacon was just right—not too crispy. But the real star of the show was the waffle. It was so good that I couldn't resist eating the whole thing, even though I was already full.
Coasters is definitely a place I highly recommend. It's family owned and operated, right on the water, and perfect for any weather. You've got to check...
