I still continue to drive by here most times when i head to work. Sadly, i dont order the Strawberry Uji Matcha that i used to order a lot anymore, they still have the Uji Matcha Cheese Latte. I usually get it with 25% sugar, less ice and of course, in large size. They always make it perfect for me even though they said try the sweetness first so they can make a new one if we I dont like it.
The menu has been shrunk a little bit, but they still make it as good. Im also glad that they accept Venmo. This makes it much easier to pay without reaching for my wallet in the back pocket anymore. Not only that - another new thing i noticed was that they added a trash bin at the end of the drive thru! I can throw the away the plastic straw covers now as i leave the lot and I wont be carrying trash with me any more.
There isnt a lot to choose from as far as food goes, but i usually order the Takoyaki which is enough to fill me up and i order the popcorn chicken to share. For spicy level, you can ask for the spicy powder on the side instead of having it on the meal.
It looks like the flower shop next door has moved out - this means more parking spaces are available. Sadly, they still dont have the outdoor seating arrangement set up, but it looks like they would be ready to fully open and prepared for when it happens. With the addition of parking, you can actually park in the front or in the new spots in the back and place an order inside if you dont want to wait inside your car. Sometimes i prefer this because i get to walk around while my order is being made - or use the restrooms in the back at the outside area. I actually order inside when the drive-thu line gets too crazy.
Towards the later part of their night, it gets more crowded. It often overflows to the driveway of the plaza next door. Just be mindful about blocking the exits or the driveways when lining up...
Read moreNot very impressed. Now, it’s not very often that I leave a bad review. In fact, I’ve never rated below 3 stars on google. Anyways, it all started by pulling into the drive through. We were caught in the middle of a shift change that took about 6 minutes, no biggie, more time to order! Ordered a taro milk tea with boba, jasmine milk tea with boba, low calorie sweetener milk tea, no boba. Also asked for popcorn chicken, medium spice, and they asked if we were cool with a 5-10 min wait, we said we could wait. We then got our drinks and turns out they made the low calorie boba dairy free. On top of that, the other staff on the order pickup window was confused as according to them the popcorn chicken had not been ordered. We were then told to park in the parking lot, and the same person that had taken our order came up to our car and tried to get us to pay for it again, claiming we had said we didn’t want to wait. We respectively declined. Now here’s the worst part: As we were in the car, my family and I tried our drinks. Now you would think that taro, green and black tea would have very distinct tastes, right? Not here. These cups were unmarked, and didn’t taste anything like the teas we ordered. The first one had a VERY almond-y taste (nothing like black/green tea, like a powdered, instant mocha). The second tasted like non dairy creamer, and the artificial sweetener was very apparent. But you could kind of tell that it was black tea. Now, the last tea was quite obvious that is was taro given the other flavors, but didn’t quite taste like taro. Not really thrilled here. If you stuck around this long, thanks! Sorry for the...
Read moreWe stopped here after a big family dinner across the street and were looking for something tangy and refreshing to balance out the heavy meal. My husband ordered a Mango Yogurt Blended which totally hit the spot! Light and bright and full of zingy yogurt goodness. I had a Strawberry and Mango Green Tea with boba and was impressed that it came with actual chunks of mango and strawberry inside. I was a little disappointed the mango itself was fibrous and not very sweet, but I do appreciate when tea shops flavor their drinks with real fruit and not chalky artificial powder flavoring. The astringent flavor of green tea was prominent, which I do enjoy but not everyone may like. The boba itself had good texture and consistency - bouncy and chewy and evenly cooked throughout - but lacked flavor otherwise.
This shop has the unique feature of a drive thru, but we walked in and ordered from the counter which was inside a converted shipping container. There is a small outdoor seating area creatively furnished with custom benches and tables that look like they were crafted from steel frames and repurposed truck tailgates of various models (GMC, Toyota, and Chevrolet to name a few). We enjoyed our drinks in this area. One of our group members received the wrong drink so it was a good thing we had kept our receipt. They did promptly replace it with the correct drink so all was...
