Fishing Dock — Restaurant in Archie

While trying to decide how to write the review, I remembered I post a great review on my timeline on January 27, 2014. Without making any changes I will post it here. I love telling this story. Just in case, the local hang out I am referring to is Fishing Dock.

I went to the local hangout to go dancing last Saturday night. Well, Friday night too but who's counting? A group of young men stopped me as I walked past them. One said, "We saw you here before and want to know how old you are?" I said, "How old do you think I am?" The first guess was 25 years old. I said, Guess again! After 5 incorrect guesses, all under 30 years old, I finally told them. They did not believe me. Finally, I said why would I lie about that? I heard one say, "With a body like that...Wow!" When I walked away, they followed. And for the rest of the night they kept me company. We talked, 2-stepped (danced), and laughed. It was a great night. They were perfect gentlemen. Their parents should be proud! They gave me an ego boost that will last a while.

The only reason i would come back is my amazing waitress Angie. I ordered the $19.99 steak special cooked rare and when I received it the steak was cooked through with a pink tinge. my waitress was there and said is that cooked ok? I told her it was far from rare and she said she would get me a new steak. a few minutes later the what I'm assuming was the manager or owner came back and argued with me that it was rare and I just had bad lighting where i was sitting and she could take me to the kitchen to show me I was wrong. she then sat the steak in front of me and left. i tried the steak and it was tough with no flavor. other people in my party tried the steak and agreed with me one person couldn't even swallow it. my amazing waitress came back and saw i wasnt eating the steak and offered to take it off my bill and bring me anything else I wanted. I want to say I have never seen a manager argue with a customer as to why they were wrong when they said they didnt like their meal. she didnt even try to appease me. I would not have left a bad review except I thought the manager handled the...

Oh wow! This was a great place to stop and eat ...we were hungry and tired of the typical road fare so I googled local places to eat ...we easily found the Fishing Dock from the highway and I'm really, really glad we did! It's a cozy little place, with a wonderful welcoming feel ....our server was great, she didn't hover but stayed on top of what we needed ...we ordered the burnt ends sandwich special with hand cut fries and "Suzy Q's" (curly fries)...wowser! the burnt ends sandwich could not have been better, and the fries were seasoned so perfectly. ..it was actually a little too much to eat but it was perfectly wonderful...they had deserts but we were too stuffed to try ...it was a great stop ....I would definitely seek this place out if I were in the area again ...it looks like the locals love it too which I always think is a good sign ...they have a fun "land shark" on top of the restaurant to greet you as you arive that I thought was so cute ...anyway, I say...
