Ten Star Pizza Kitchen — Restaurant in Ardmore

This place. Where do I start? First, the decor. Clean, fresh, modern, yet cozy. Travis, our waiter, was possibly the nicest guy in Oklahoma. We were just traveling though, and happened upon this place by accident. SO GLAD we did. My salad was comparable to the 5* restaurants that we typically frequent. The spinach was crisp, followed by shaved strips of fresh parmesan, topped with juicy cherry tomatoes, sliced hard boiled eggs and WARM, thick bacon bits. The house vinagrette was perfect. My mouth was in heaven! Plus, Travis brought me a separate fork with my salad without my asking; atypical of most pizza places. It's the little things! (Also, the salad was accompanied by two little packets of club crackers. Totally not necessary with this quality of salad, but adorable. Very small-town America.) My tomato bisque was piping hot and delicious. Hubby's hamburger pizza had a homemade crust, just the right amount of cheese and FRESH jalapenos. YUM! Nothing from a can in this place! After all this culinary goodness, we couldn't leave without trying one of their homemade pies, made by the owner's mother. We literally moaned through each bite of our slice of coconut cream pie. Before we left, the owner stopped by for chat. He's the 2nd nicest guy in Oklahoma. We are so glad we happened upon Ten Star Pizza. It will be a regular stop every time we pass though...

Wow! Was antique shopping in Ardmore on my way from OK City back home to Ft. Worth. Stumbled on this hip pizza place. I was rather short on time but ordered The Goat pizza which took about 12 minutes or so. For goat cheese lovers this really was delicious. What a surprise! I haven't had a pizza this pleasing to my palette in decades! They had a long list of pizza options but I chose The Goat which has olive oil, mozzarella cheese, yummy goat cheese and figs! All of the options were enticing so it was hard to choose!! Oh now to the crust! Ohmygosh! It was a crispy, buttery bit of heaven! The best pizza crust I've ever tasted! The only disappointment is that they don't have one of these close to where I live! I want to also rave about the friendly service! The best dining experience in so long I can't even remember! Love love love this place! Oh and the music and decor created a great vibe. I could go on and on about my delightful experience but I am thankful for Ten Star making my trip...

After reading the reviews my wife & I decided to try the pizza from here. WHAT A DISASTER !!!! 1 person actually said it was the best he had ever eaten, well, he is obviously from Oklahoma, because where I come from (back east, where they have REAL PIZZA) you do not spend the next few days riding the porcelain bus with one of the worst DOSES of DIARRHEA IMAGINABLE. We decided to try the plain cheese pie in what they called "LARGE", which is a medium anywhere else, with thin crust. It was like eating a canned sauce on top of a saltine cracker. No FLAVOR, and about as palatable as a dishrag. Early the next morning we both awoke to growling intestines and some of the most SEVERE CRAMPS I can remember. Thankfully we have 2 bathrooms or it would have been much worse. I can honestly say WE WILL NEVER RETURN, but if you want to temp your fate and buy a super dose of cramps, GO FOR IT, you won't be seeing us there.
