I really really want to like Chair 9. I met the owner a while ago, great guy, ambiance is cool, I have had good meals at times and we have had good service. However, it’s just too hit and miss.
Just had very poor service from a passive aggressive millennial, wouldn’t take the drink order at the bar, directed us to sit, and then didn’t serve us for , well too long of a wait, so we left. Generally this indicates to me the management is not quite what it used to be. When some staff is great just because they’re inherently got it together and others have areas which require improvement, more guidance, and training.
I do loath to make a public critique but it is very simple things that could improve Chair 9 dramatically.
Update: glutton for punishment back from hiking we stop there. The kitchen was just closing service wasn’t bad, but they offered a slice of pizza they might have in the back, which we took them up on. I can’t make this up. They brought out a whole cheese pizza. It was like crazy burnt like you could eat the front middle and the back was torched. I’m not joking I should’ve took a photo. Then they charged us for the full pizza. Char 9 has gone so far downhill it’s mind-boggling. Thank goodness. We have options now in Glacier with...
Read moreJust wanted to share a little story about some amazing people that my husband and I encountered at your restaurant. My husband and I came in for dinner this evening. The place was busy, but we were able to find a table and sat ourselves. Not long after, a beautiful young lady approached us and asked if we would mind moving tables, because they had a large group coming in and there was nowhere else to sit. We, of course, said no problemo and moved our seats. We really didn't think anything of it. They offered a glass of wine and a beer - yes - lucky us. We enjoyed our meal. The food was delish :) When our server delivered our bill, she informed us that this group had paid $40 towards our bill - it basically paid for our dinner. I was speechless, and it took me a moment to compose myself. I approached them, thanked them and hugged them. But, what I hadn't told them, is that their kindness had really made my week. What I hadn't shared is that only a few days ago, I had watched my Grandmother pass away. She was the epitome of kindness, and in some way what they had done for my husband and I had really brought back the memories of what my Grandmother would do for others. Thank you to these young women and young gentlemen - your kindness will not be...
Read moreCame for lunch after a morning at Baker. Only two folks ahead of us because we got there right when they opened at about noon. Really regret coming here at all but particularly with our toddler.
We ordered coffee, fries, and the BBQ pizza with jalapeño only on half of it. The coffee and fries came and we shared those. Then at 1:10pm we were still waiting on our pizza. Luckily we had brought our toddler snacks but this was ridiculous given we were some of the first folks seated. I asked our waitress how much longer it would be and she came back to tell me they’d forgotten our pizza order and it would be right up. Pizza came out 5 minutes later with jalapeños all over the whole thing and with beef randomly added.
The waitress comped the pizza (which is cool since it’s not as we ordered it at all and took an hour) but for whatever reason she still charged us for the coffee and fries which was really lame. We asked for Box and check and left immediately. If she had comped the fries and coffee (which totaled about $10) maybe I wouldn’t have left a review about this. I cannot believe we were charged at all for that experience.
Now our toddler is STILL hungry and we get to go find second lunch somewhere else. I recommend...
