Kokopelli's Restaurant at Gold Canyon Golf Resort — Restaurant in Arizona

This was not our first trip to Kokopellis, and I must admit I was glad they were serving on Christmas day, but I really have to stop giving them my money! They are extremely overpriced for what they give you. Their Christmas menu online said it was the Thanksgiving day menu and the girl on the phone said it's the same, they just change the title. Hummm... well I guess it was the same because all of the dishes are set with mashed potatoes, vegetables and stuffing.... even if you have salmon! (Didn't need the stuffing with salmon!). Waitress asked if we wanted fresh pepper on for our salads...she went away, got the grinder and put it on our table and walked away! Finally, she spilled wine all over the base of my wine glass and just left it... it would have easily dripped all over me on my first sip! Yes, holiday staffing, but really... it is not free! Have been there for Mother's day brunch and other meals and I'm annoyed I went back each time! There are other choices in the area... management needs to pay attention to the details and not assume that 'good...

It was Valentine's Day so they were probably busy early in the evening but not full when we were there. The room was very loud, hard to converse with even the person next to you. The food was delicious, a bit pricey considering how uncomfortable loud it was. The service was poor. When the food was brought every plate was given to the wrong person. It was so confusing that one person in our party didn't get her food. We had to find our server and tell her. We didn't see our server again for a long time. We had to ask other passing servers for salt and pepper, more water, desert menus and a to go box. The server took our desert order while holding dirty dishes from another table. The server was pleasent enough just very bad. We had to ask again for our desert after...

We made reservations for 5 several days ahead and clearly stated for outside if nice and inside if not. We arrived during a windy and very dusty night and they asked if we still wanted to sit out side..... . They had to go set a table in the LOUD bar for us as the dining room had a private party of “60”. One of our guest is hard of hearing so she was not able to hear or be a part due to the bar noise. Seems like the place is run by a bunch of kids and people who are very on their own to wonder. Our waitress forgot about us for 2nd drinks and a desert request. Just not a fun time. Food ok at best. Not the end of the season nice dinner out we hoped... could have gone to a loud bar anywhere for far less and had better...
