Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Arizona

Tonight I placed an online order. The time I was provided for the delivery was 37 minutes. After 50 minutes I called the store to inquire how much longer I should expect to wait. I was rudely told it would be there in another 28-37 minutes. In the background someone rudely said “the order said 90 minutes”. When I said that was unacceptable I was told I’d need to speak to the manager. I was handed off to “Larry” the manager. He was extremely rude, in fact he asked if I wanted my order cancelled. He told me he would gladly cancel and I should call someone else, but they are the only ones who deliver, SO GOOD LUCK!!! Then he told me that they got busy and that they don’t make enough money to put up with griping customers like me, and to just deal with it, it will probably be there in another 20 minutes…. MAYBE!! He then told me that he is there until 11 tonight if I wanted to come in and see him personally, as he has witnesses and would be waiting. I asked Larry who his supervisor was , to which he replied “ This is a franchise, so there is NO ONE ABOVE ME HERE!!!” Larry is an absolute disgrace of a manager. Papa Johns should be ashamed of having such a pompous JERK as their store manager. I for one will never order from this store again, in fact I will be writing a letter to corporate over this incident. The lady who delivered the pizza even confirmed that Larry is a JERK and that she was so very sorry! She in fact only has three days left working there and cannot wait to not work for...

Posted this review on yelp as well...Visiting Show Low for the day. Ordered a large pizza and knots. The person taking the phone order made the process harder than it needed to be and turns out Amanda is the manager. I was told the order would be 45 minutes to an hour. The order took an hour and a 10 mins to get here. Our pizza and knots were cold and late. Regret tipping the driver as well as I did....looked up the location and found that the restaurant was only 5 mins away. There was no excuse for our order to be cold. The 'manager', Amanda lacked empathy and concern. So much for relaxing at our room and having a hot meal. This is inexcusable and unacceptable. Don't waste your money at this place. I was on my way home back from Pinetop and wanted to bring home food to my family. We had never tried the Papa John's here, so didn't know what to expect at all. I asked if they had any deals and the man said no but ordering online I could find deals. I didn't have time for such. The service was fine, as he didn't mind telling me different prices on different items. I ordered a large pepperoni with jalapeños on half which came to 22$, a bit pricey to me(but then again, what isn't lol)The wait was only about 10 minutes, which is great but the enviornment wasn't very welcoming.
