I arrived at approximately 6:20PM.

Where do I begin? Worst experience in the last year...

First, these guys have the smoking area 5 feet from the front and ONLY customer entrance. I am NOT kidding. My wife, baby and 2 year old had to walk through 5 people smoking, just to get into the place. There's is no way NOT to enter the establishment without going through the smoking area. This should have been my first warning.

(6:50) Second, the cup of Chili was way too spicy. I love spicy food, but this is just crazy. I mentioned it to the waitress and she said that a lot of people complained about the spiciness. Hmm if a lot of people complain about it, maybe you should change the recipie. Also, they gave my wife's cup of chili crackers, but not my bowl.

Third, and this goes a long with the chili, I sat there with an empty glass of Tea and a burning mouth and lips for over 10 minutes with my waitress no where to be found. I literally could not take a bite more, because I had nothing to drink. So my Chili sat there getting cold, whilst my mouth was on fire, I kid you not, for over 10 minutes. I literally looked at my watch. The place was not packed, and there were several open tables. If I had to guess, I would say it was between 60-70% full. So there is no excuse for such poor service.

(7:35)When the main meal finally came (over an hour after we had been seated...), my wife's and my 2 years old's came out very late, but fine. I sat there with no meal. The waitress assured me that it was right behind her. Yes it was right behind her, by 15 minutes! While my girls ate, the waitress came back once and told me 'Something must be going in the back', but that was it, 15 minutes after my wife and 2 year old had their meals, mine finally came out (7:50). At this point I was disgusted with 'The Gym' and could hardley bring myself to eat.

However, the food was actually very good, aside from the chili. The burger was cooked exactly how I asked, and the sides were very warm and tasty.

Finally, past 8PM, the bill was promptly brought to me and I paid. Honestly & sadly, this was the quickest service we had all night at this place. My bill was very pricey, and it was way overly priced, Even with a 'buy one get one free' dinner coupon, my total was over 40 dollars with the tip not included. That's for 2 adults and one 2 year old... No one ordered steak and Lobster, heck not even just steak. 2 Iced Teas alone were over $5.50.

Pros: Good food (except for the Chili) Cons: Smoking area right in front of the main/only entrance, horrible service, over priced, takes way too long and no communication.

Skip 'The Grill' in Queen Creek, and go acrfoss the street...

Went here a number of times as I try to support small local businesses but this place does not deserve our support. Some businesses should fail and this one thanks to it's owner/management should and likely will fail. I used to think this place was halfway okay maybe 3 stars for their portions and prices but as many reviewers have mentioned and as you can see for yourself by the childish replies by management/ownership to the negative reviews. The owner posted on their FB page that they are open for takeout, the google site for this bar says they are open as well but they are closed. We found that out after we looked at their menu, we all decided what we were going to get, wrote it down and called... well we called like 20 times and it kept going to voicemail. So I drove over there since I figured maybe their line was just busy with other people placing their to go orders. Nope, turns out they are closed and just slapped sign up on their door. They couldn't be bothered to mention that they are closed on their FB page but as soon as I mentioned hey you might want to say something about being closed on their FB page I got the following unapologetic, deflecting, you don't like it tough shhh F off kind of reply post from their owner which is right in line with the comments about him and the way he (and I use this term very loosely) manages his bar: Paul Mayle "James Knowles yes we are closed. Sorry we aren't making money and didn't put a big neon sign saying hey james we are closed. Obviously you have no idea how close knit our customers are. Please dont come to our establishment if this is the type of person you are. And please have courtesy to stay...

Based the Owner Reply, i was been wayyyy too polite on my first review. So my review will be much more honest and Raw ... First there is only 1 Pool table for the whole establishment and several over games(Darts) and the rest is bar stools and sitting tables. The food was overall C+ (shared many appetizers and got to try wings, nachos, mushrooms, fries ect). Our server was polite and attentive. The music machine sounds absolutely terrible, the speakers are blowout. There are obvious things that are really worn out near the pool table and music machine. Power cord was not hooked up the night i tried to use the pool table and is a trip hazard once plugged in, the vibe of this place is that it looks a feels worn out. The are 2 things that are ok, this place the TV's are showing a good diverse of games and the Nachos were actually good. And to the Owners reply, you obliviously think the best way to run a business is to get smart with your reviews. Especially those who gave you a 4/5 (its called hope or willing to try again) but you don't need our business and have it all figured out. The best way to handle thing is to get smart with peoples feedback, especially those willing to try again. So i updated my feedback just for you. I willingly ignored and read the bad reviews and other smart replies to other customers. I wanted to give it a chance, even after my review but you been a smart business owner that you are, you made a reply that was uncalled for . So thank you for making my decision easily, i updated my permanent review to fit your establishment Good luck to you and...

The Gym Bar and Grill is a total hidden gem and quickly becoming one of my favorite spots to hang out. From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel right at home—super friendly, fast, and always on top of things. Whether you’re grabbing a quick drink or settling in for the evening, they take great care of you. What really sets The Gym apart is the entertainment. They’ve got something going on almost every night of the week, and it’s always a blast. Comedy night is a must—hilarious local and touring comedians that keep the laughs coming. Karaoke nights are a riot too, with a supportive crowd and a great setup that makes even shy singers want to get on stage. And if you're looking for a fun midweek outing, Ladies’ Night is the place to be. The specials are great, the energy is high, and the entertainment lineup never disappoints. The vibe is casual, fun, and just the right amount of rowdy. Good food, solid drinks, and a community feel that makes you want to come back. Whether you’re out with friends or just looking for a good time, The Gym Bar and Grill delivers every time.

Make no mistake, this is a dive bar, so check your expectations at the door. At times you’ll get great service, at other times, you won’t. Wires are tastelessly strewn about the rafters and walls, and you’ll find a bizarre assortment of gaming machines here and there, including a single billiards table. I was pleased that my 20oz Church Music IPA only set me back $5 (is it happy hour at 4:15pm? I dunno, no one told me). I can’t speak for the food. I wasn’t offered a food menu when I sat at the bar, and frankly, I’m thankful. The food coming out looks very average. The music is way too fucking loud, the AC isn’t on, and it’s quite warm, and the group of KKK looking mutherfukkers on the other end of the bar have me feeling a bit nervous.

Big Mistake! Arrived at about 7:10pm, didn't get out of there until closer to 9:30. Service was slow and apathetic. Food was worse. I ordered a "Scratch Burger" medium. The subpar patty was overdone and the build was not what was on the menu. My friend's sliders were bland and the fries were cold. Took a sip of my beer and realized I received the incorrect beer she didn't even ask if she could replace it. Unless you're a local and want to saddle up to the bar for bottles of Bud and tequila shots, I do not recommend visiting this establishment.
