Excellent! Recommend calling ahead and arrive hungry. My wife and I (from out of town) stopped in for a late breakfast to celebrate our 27th anniversary. The first person we met was Michelle. She was very respectful, friendly, generous and willing to have a laugh. We were sat after a short wait. Michelle took care of us; when she discovered this was our first visit, friendly suggestions were provided including the fact they only had one of their renowned breakfast pot pies left. That is what I immediately ordered, without even looking at the menu, as to not miss out and it did not disappoint in the least! My wife ordered the Florentine Eggs Benedict-her favorite dish but also wanted to try the seasonal peach pancake. With whipped cream and baked in peaches, no syrup was needed-it was delicious! After we were sufficiently full, we thanked Michelle for her hospitality and helping to make our anniversary great at which point she insisted we stay put!! She came back with another yummy surprise-homemade strawberry shortcake dessert that was light, fluffy and delicious!! I can't give higher marks for the breakfast pot pie. It was amazing!! My wife enjoyed her meal as well-it is a total experience-great people, delicious food, and hospitality like none other!!

Service was top tier. Food was even better. We were a larger party so it did take a while to be seated (40mins) but once we were, everything was off to a great start. We did learned about a call ahead seating when we were leaving, so definitely using that next time we visit. We grabbed a variety of things and loved it all. Breakfast pot pie, biscuits and gravy, bear cub pancakes (these are huge we could have split one between the three kids because they barely made a dent in them), chicken fried steak, mama bears’s porridge, and the pancake of the month. They do not use salt in their cooking and rely on herbs, food was still delicious. Salt is offered at the table. There is a small area that offers mugs, hot sauces, and shirts. Outdoor seating is available but it was a snowy weekend so we didn’t partake in that. Our server was so great with the kids and even helped my daughter beat me in arm wrestling! We can’t wait to drive up here and visit again.

If you love pancakes and don't stop here, then you forfeit your right to say you love pancakes ever again! If you hate pancakes you MUST still stop here and be converted! THIS PLACE WAS FANTASTIC!!! The hostess sat me down and she was just a doll! Very great waitress named Michelle who was amazing. Definitely amazing service. The place is so cute and IMMACULATE. I worked in a restaurant for so long my eye goes to certain places by habit and it was spotless and organized and the bathrooms were cleannnnn!! The pancakes of the month was banana foster and WOW! Perfectly decadent without being too sickly. Big juicy sausage and scrambled eggs made the meal! Sooo good! The coffee was delicious and hot and refilled without asking. Served in a thick stoneware cup no burnt taste some diners offer. I am STOKED I stopped in here, also I don't know how I forgot...THE CINNAMOM BUNSSSSSS OMG.

While I'm sure this restaurant is capable of serving delicious food, that was not our experience unfortunately. The staff was friendly, but poorly organized. It was unclear whether they were serving sections, doing a team service model, or what, but the lack of communication between the wait staff and kitchen staff contributed to the extensive wait times. We were seated on the patio but had to ask to be moved inside due to an uncontrolled fly and ant issue. I'm normally not picky about insects when eating outside, but it was truly uncomfortable. When we finally got a table inside we still had to wait about an hour for our food, totalling in an hour and a half wait from placing our order to having food on the table. They did give us drinks during our wait, but did not ask about refills, and of course they were gone by the time our food came. My boyfriend threw away his coffee because he said it was not even worth drinking. The grilled sandwich I ordered was grilled with the lettuce on, so it arrived with slimy and warm lettuce gunk in the middle which was very unappetizing. I know this is a small place, with a small kitchen, but it should not take an hour and a half to get 2 sandwiches. There were a few tables of one or two people ahead of us waiting for their food, but that still shouldn't create an hour and a half wait. This place looks like it has some good dishes on the menu. If they want to speed up service and make this a viable option for eating out in town they need to edit their menu to only dishes that can be served quickly when the restaurant is full and work on a service strategy that ensures no guests fall in the cracks. I'm definitely rooting for businesses to succeed in town, and love having more options for eating out, but I do think this business needs to look at itself with a critical eye and figure out some strategies for operating...

We were stranded in Heber on our way back home, after hitting a massive pothole and blowing 2 tires. The local tire shop owner kindly took us to 3 Bears, where the staff was the most welcoming, gracious, and accommodating. There were a total of 6 of us (4 were children). We stayed for hours, as we were at the mercy of our insurance company, the tire shop, and our general situation of being stranded and trying to find a place to stay for several days, without a vehicle. Not once did the staff make us feel like we were overstaying our welcome. They made sure our drinks were warm, food was fresh, they checked on us often, and, most important, our kids’ bellies were full and satisfied. Fast forward 2 months and we look back very fondly on our time in Heber-Overgaard, even though we were stranded without a vehicle, as everyone we encountered was kind and welcoming (I can see how Hallmark Movies are inspired!). The 3 Bears Cafe & staff were just what we needed, while our hopes were down and the situation seemed dire. If you’re ever there when they have their seasonal cinnamon pancakes, ORDER THEM! They were so good, we ordered seconds. In fact, everything we ordered was delicious. The place is cozy, the staff is wonderful, and the local patrons are just...
