Brenda's Cafe — Restaurant in Arkansas

My husband & I ate at Brenda’s on Friday, June 6, 2025. We arrived at approximately 10:45 am. The restaurant was busy and customers had to check out a buzzer so they could be notified when a table was ready. It has always been my assumption that when you check out a buzzer, you are pretty much seated in order as tables become available. Evidently not. We were standing with two other senior citizen couples at the front of the restaurant waiting for our turn. A group of 4 high school/middle age kids walked in, got a buzzer, and after a few minutes were seated ahead of those of us who arrived before they did. There was no apparent reason why they were seated first. One of the senior citizens, an elderly man, could not stand any longer & asked a gentleman if he could sit in his empty chair at his table.

After we were finally assigned a table & placed our order, my husband asked for hot sauce & I asked for extra tartar sauce. I also had ordered a few pickles & onion to be served with my catfish order. When our waitress came by, I told her that I did not receive the extra tartar sauce, pickles & onion & my husband did not receive the hot sauce he had requested. She offered to bring the items, but it was too late. We had already eaten most of our meal. My husband ordered breakfast & his hash browns were almost burnt.

We always enjoyed going to Brenda’s, because their food is typically good. Today was not a good day to eat there & consideration for seating, especially for senior citizens seems...

A Fantastic Dining Experience at Brenda's Cafe!

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Brenda's Cafe in Mountain Home, Arkansas, and we couldn't be more satisfied with our experience. From the warm and friendly staff to the delicious food, everything was top-notch!

My wife enjoyed the chopped steak with a side salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, and toast, while I had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, gravy, fried okra, and toast. The portions were generous, the flavors were outstanding, and everything was cooked to perfection.

Our server, Kisha, was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. The welcoming atmosphere and excellent service truly set Brenda's Cafe apart.

I can't say enough good things about the resort. The owners Jenni and Jared were fantastic. If we needed something they got it to us in a timely manner. Jenni was excellent at letting us know when she would be back if she had to leave the property. Jenni is extremely knowledgeable about Mountian Home and surrounding areas. The dock was a great private spot that we enjoyed. The resort offers a beautiful backdrop for pictures.

We had and vehicle issue when we arrived, and needed to figure out what was wrong, J&J were super great about letting us work on it when we get here. We were worried the part we needed wasn't going to be able to get to the resort in time. Jared offered his assistance and between Jared and his brother they fabricated a piece that worked!
