Well, the hours on Google match what's listed on the door but nobody is here. It's 11am. There's curtains up over the door. the door is padlocked. After reading some other reviews and the response from I'm assuming the owner not sure I'll even return. They seem rude or at least the opposite of good customer service. Maybe they don't realize that they're being rude. When I went to Kenya and had dinner at restaurants there with my kenyan husband, their idea of customer service also does not match what we consider to be good customer service here in the states. He laughed at me ...was like get over it. Those higher service standards won't work over here. Accept what's served. So maybe it's not intentional or they see it is as ok to respond in this manner. The response that I saw to the young lady that took a while to decide what she wanted to eat...the owner actually said "make sure you tell them that you changed your mind 5times before deciding, who does that"
WOW at the owner. I feel that's unacceptable.. You should not rush your customer especially one there for the first time and new to your cultures expression of food AND giving their hard earned money during these hard times.. if we're getting on your nerves that much then, yes we need to take our business elsewhere. Just my humble opinion. I know you're in the business to make a profit but as consumers we're in the business of trying to stretch our dollars these days So if we choose a new place to try we want to make sure we leave with exactly what we wanted and get our moneys worth. There's nothing worse than food you end up not liking, it's like you just rolled down the car window and tossed the money out the window. I would like to think you can appreciate that perspective as a business owner as well. God bless you and your business. Just something for you...
Read moreI recently had one of their soups with goat meat. While I was pleased and satisfied with the flavor of the dish, I was completely disappointed with the size and volume of the soup. The quality/value proposition of the soup was off. For $12.99 I would have expected a nice size bowl of the soup. Just visualize the small and large sizes of soup offered by say 1st Chinese BBQ or most any Vietnamese pho place.
Take the small size of the soup from either place listed above and reduce the volume by 2/3. This is the size I was given. Although the price of goat meat, like most meats, has increased over the past year, having only maybe 3 oz. of meat (if that) served in a broth that measured at best 3/4 cup is unacceptable. I would venture to say the weight of the bones exceeded the weight of the meat itself.
I can get my fill of goat meat at the Indian buffets. Will not be coming back even though I thought the flavor was quite good. The value...
Read moreThis is a African store/ restaurant. Its the filthiest establishment Ive entered that served food. The floors unmopped. I went to the bathroom, the commode didn't flush and you can tell it hadn't been cleaned in months like a roadside gas station, everything was brown. One of the kitchen sinks used to prepare food is located in the hallway a right next to that bathroom..it had food sitting in it soaking. The kitchen is chaotic and just as nasty as the bathroom. The owner I assume, she was the owner, was working hard to cook and ring up customers, but you can definitely tell she does not clean at the end of day. I wouldn't be surprised if the dishes are left dirty overnight. I paid $18 for egusi soup I was too scared to eat, but didn't want to embarrass her by not accepting the food I pre-paid for. I threw it away. The portion size was not $18 worth of...
