I wish I could give 0 stars. Especially for food and service. One of our dishes were brought out cold, after sitting in the window while the employees gossiped.
Our waitress(Amanda) was very snide and rude right off the bat. She had an incredibly careless and off putting attitude after bringing our food. One of our dishes, the nachos, had been sitting for so long they were cold and the cheese had thickened into a paste. We aren’t ones to return our food, typically we will make do with what we are given even if it’s incorrect. We’re very respectful of restaurant workers and we appreciate what they do. But this was just too much.
The waitress seemed irritated by the fact we returned the nachos, and after bringing the new plate out, she didn’t come back to our table until long after we’d finished our food.
We wanted a dessert which finally the server returned to our table so we could order it. While waiting for the dessert we decided that we were ready to head out and would just take it to go. This was apparently a bigger deal than she let on.
After informing her we’d like to make it a to go order, she went back to the kitchen, and we heard the waitress tell the cook “Now they’re taking it to go… I know…. I’m sorry”
Sorry? For doing your job? Sorry to inconvenience you and make you earn the money you’re being paid. Sorry to interrupt your gossip hour.
When confronted with these issues during payment (spent $84 on our meal - even though the cold meal should have been comped or at least we should have been asked if we’d like it to be comped.) the server was EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional. Denying any accountability, and going so far as to roll her eyes at my mother and at one point even said “whatever” while walking away.
The amount of disrespect is astounding. This place has taken a massive dive over the last few years. The food is sub par and the service is appalling.
Tomorrow we will be calling and reporting her to the manager, as well as the entire encounter.
This was absolutely unacceptable behavior and for a “family” restaurant, it was not a family friendly experience.
Needless to say, we will not be returning.
If you’re looking for some small town good diner food, go to The Stilly Diner or Bluebird, let this place run itself...
Read moreWe visited this Dennys for the first time a few days ago. We arrived at approximately 6pm. There weren’t many cars in the lot, and when we entered the restaurant it was very quiet. No overhead music, and only two people sitting at the bar. We thought maybe they had closed…we weren’t greeted and the hostess/waitress appeared and asked how many in our party. There was two of us, and she walked us to our booth. The restaurant was, to put it politely, a mess. Debri (straws, napkins, food, other unidentifiable things) all over the floor.. so much that we had to step over things. We were lead to a dirty table that had dirty seats, and the waitress put on menus on the table - said nothing and walked away. We sat, and I needed to use the restroom. When I entered the restroom the smell was horrible. (I know it’s a restroom, but it was more than that) there was water … or something… all over the floor.. there are three stalls and each stall had a plugged toilet. There was toilet paper all over the ground, and a caution wet floor sign that had been knocked over. I didn’t end up using the bathroom. I returned to the table and the waitress had not checked on my husband nor offered beverages. There was only one other table that had people at it… the kitchen was quiet, and again we thought maybe they were closed\closing. As we sat at the table my husband told me there was finger prints all over the glass behind us, grease/ketchup/random stuff on the booth seats and table. Not sure where our waitress went, but after a few minutes we decided we weren’t comfortable eating there and quietly left our table. There was no one in the kitchen, and no serving staff on the floor… and no where in sight. It felt like a ghost town.
Overall I would NOT recommend this place. Disappointed because we frequent a Dennys in Everett and have had great service and experiences.
I really hate to leave this review as I know food service can be really hard and it’s not my intention to get anyone in trouble. But, honestly the condition of this place was shocking. We have always had great experiences at Dennys. We totally understand possibly being understaffed. I would say that this is more than that. It was weird and honestly very...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I were one of the only tables in the restaurant and I requested seasoning salt on my fries ( not seasoned fries ). My fries didn’t have seasoning salt on them. Not a big deal because I usually have this problem whenever I come to Denny’s, the servers usually dont know what I’m talking about until they specifically asked the cook to put seasoning salt on the fries. Well after we got our food the server Julia did not check on us once to see how we were doing. She literally walked past us several times, and I can honestly say without a doubt that she was INTENTIONALLY avoided us. For example we were clearly done eating our food she walked past us again to just stand around and to socialize so we had to ask someone else for a to go box. So now we have a To go box so we are clearly ready for our bill right ? I guess not, she continues to ignore us so we just walked to the register ourselves letting the hostess know we are ready to pay. She asked us for our ticket and what do you know she finally realizes we are ready to leave and hands the lady the ticket. Why she would do such a thing is a great question because I have worked as a server and how she treated us is far from how you treat customers if you value your job and of course if your expecting any type of tips. Not only did she ignore us but My boyfriend overheard her laughing about something I did to another table that she obviously knows personally. This is probably my last time coming to this Denny’s. The one off of Everett ave always know what I’m talking about when I ask for the seasoning salt for my non...
