So I saw the 4.8 star rating and had to try this place. Unfortunately I think it's a bit overrated. It's just a small mom/pop type place and you don't exactly get served like at a normal restaurant. You order from the counter, only drinks are in cans/bottles, and there's limited seating. The ambience was ok but nothing special.

I love their selection of maki rolls. I tried the Hot Mama and the Candy Cane roll. They were both delicious and I would have loved them except that all of the fish tasted frozen...and even a little freezer burned.

I understand that we aren't going to get fresh seafood in Dallas and things must be shipped frozen but this fish tasted as if it had been stored frozen and for too long. It took a lot away from the flavor of the fish for me. It didn't melt in my mouth like finer sushi establishments in the city of Dallas where quality is far more discriminating.

This place wasn't expensive but I would pay more for melt in your mouth fish that didn't taste...

I used to go to sushi go all the time years ago like over three years ago. The prices were wayyyyy better back then. I paid 23 dollars for this little bit. I mean 5 pieces of little bitty tuna that's seared for 8.95 why? The cry baby 2 was not that great and had barely any flavor. The fact that they won't let you use the bathroom and she made me walk all the way to CVS was screwed up too. It was like 90 degrees out side and CVS is like 10 stores down all the way by the traffic lights. I was wearing a mask unlike most people in the area so why not let me use the restroom?? Made no sense to me. Anyways over priced sushi and bland testing as well. Only went here because I though it would be as good as it was before sadly mistaken I...

I had the bulgogi bowl, cucumber salad, dumplings, and a crunch roll. Loved the cucumber salad, one of my fav ways to eat with sesame oil and it had 2 pieces of crab, it went really nice together. Dumplings were good. The crunch roll has crab on top, it was really good, the topped crab was a Lil salty almost tasted like a spam. I love the sweetness of crab and it pretty much took the sweetness out. We did enjoy it though. The bulgogi bowl was great my only complaint was it could have had just a little more meat as it is one of my favorite dishes lol. It was cooked nicely. It's quiet with relaxing music. After a busy day we definitely left full...

I ordered a Yakuza bowl, an Ahi Tower bowl, a Sushi Combo No. 1, and a bowl of miso soup. I didn’t need the Ahi Tower. But I was curious what everyone was raving about. Everything was delicious. And fresh (the wait was worth it). The pink color in the rice puts some people off, but it tasted good. My wife had the Yakuza bowl. I had the Ahi Tower. They were both superb. I chose tuna and salmon for the Sushi Combo. It tasted fresher than most sushi places. The ginger and wasabi were fresh. But what surprised us was the miso soup. In our opinion, you can't get finer tasting miso soup.
