My husband and I travel to southern Louisiana the first weekend in May every year to partake in the crawfish festival. As a result, we like to dine at as many local establishments as possible and we always try to give an elaborate, detailed review. Let me preface this by saying I come from a family that owned a restaurant for 24 years and I have high standards. Since we come to town for crawfish, that is usually the first thing on the menu. It is not my favorite, but my husband loves it. So he ordered the crawfish(platter I think) which was a couple pounds with corn and potatoes. We were offered regular or spicy. Right here is where things get different. We eat a LOT of crawfish down here and we do our own crawfish boils. You can choose āspicyā and obtain that by leaving them in the pot for a few extra minutes to soak up the seasonings and they will be āspicyā. However, there are a few places that try to obtain the āspicyā by adding a powdered heat to it after they have been removed from the pot. If you like that way, thatās fine. We do not. We find that all it does is get all over your hands and face and really doesnāt add very much flavor to the meat at all. Each to their own. On the flip side. The crawfish were cooked and presented well and they were priced right. I had fried catfish. This too presented its own problems since it was brought on a basket, but I didnāt receive any napkins, a plate, or a fork. I did go and ask for them and received all of them. I realize that most people are ok to eat certain things with their hands, but I am a nurse by trade and I know what is lurking around on peopleās hands. There will never be a day when I will eat anything with my hands. On the flip side. The catfish was phenomenal!! It was seasoned to perfection! Cooked exquisitely well and served hot! On a scale of 1-10. Iād give them a 7.5. It was good. The things they did good, they did...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWas not impressed and this is why. We saw Gerald from KLFY talk about this place on TikTok so we decided to check it out. The place was about half full but yet it took over an hour before we got our food. My wife had boiled crawfish, my son had the chicken tenders plate, and I had the grilled catfish plate with onion rings. First we had no silverware and after trying to get the waitressā attention, my wife finally got up and retrieved it herself. The catfish, although decent, were two small pieces, not nearly worth the price. My son only got three small tenders but lots of onion rings. My wifeās crawfish was seasoned after coming out of the boil and was messy and not that tasty. It would have been better if the seasoning was in the boil itself because then it would have gotten into the meat. Also, my wife was certain she didnāt get four pounds as she should have. The waitress had an attitude from the time we sat down and rarely checked on us and when she did, it was like a bother to her to help us. Oh and my salad had no dressing and I had to ask for it and again, the attitude. We...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI just am sitting outside waiting for my niece to get our milkshakes, I had to walk outside because the Lady working behind the counter was crazy rude and I don't want more public humiliation to happen I was already embarrassed I asked her kindly to add walnuts to my milkshake ... she didnāt acknowledge me, so I asked again. Well, she decided to scream at me saying I FREAKING HEARD YOU THE FIRST TIME! So I told her that beings she didn't answer me I didn't think she heard me, again she Screamed at me! She said IM THE ONLY PERSON HERE SO WHAT DID YOU THINK! OBVIOUSLY NOT COMMON SENSE! So Myrans will take a hit from my family! We are a huge family that spends a lot of money there. We agreed that we are tired of her treatment, this wasn't the first time, and we are not the only family in the area that is tired of her rudeness! Hopefully, more locals will take a stand until she is removed! I'm not gonna say her name but to the owners, she worked on the evening of March 31st. Sorry, Myrans my money will never be spent...
