Fathers Day, 6/15/25, I took a 35-mile motorcycle ride alone just for a relaxing fun getaway, and to eat somewhere else other than hometown Carlsbad. The food was substandard (but priced fair). The young waiter Aiden was very friendly, checked up frequently, and received a very big tip from me for his honorable performance. The biscuits appeared to be from frozen or from a can as they were like hockey pucks, the scrambled eggs were not scrambled and appeared to be poured from a jug (yes they were cooked all the way), the bacon was limp and chewy, but the coffee was good. The food had every trademark of being Cisco commercial school cafeteria supplies. If I ever go back here, I will skip breakfast and try lunch instead. But I should have stopped at Angie's that I passed, that had a full parking lot, or somewhere else down the street. Really, for a restaurant next to a motel (not part of the motel I don't think) Ya'll should do much better with your breakfast food. No, I did not complain to management because I wanted to have a peaceful relaxing non-stress day. I paid cash so no record of my visit other than my...
Read moreFor our first time the floors were nasty, tables needed to be cleaned. It took a while for us to be seated. It took a while for us to get our drinks and the sweet tea was nasty. We ordered chips and salsa but that took a while too. The chips were a mix of hard , mushy and crunchy . They were fresh and not given enough time to drain so they were greasy . After we placed our order it was another hour wait before it was brought to the table. I had to get up from the table three times just to refill our drinks. Our waitress seemed very distracted and unable to complete more than one task at a time. At times it felt like she was ignoring us. The food was pretty good. They have a unique sauce that they use on their Big Duct Frys (loaded waffle fries.) Bad service can ruin a good meal very quickly. We live out of town, perhaps we can try this restaurant again at...
Read moreI went to eat with my family on Saturday afternoon, the waiter was rude tried seating us outside the main restaurant because I had a service dog, said sit out there or leave due to the fact my SD did not have a vest or harness on, he did have a service leash and collar, said he wasn't a service animal, I replied he was and a vest was not a requirement which it isn't, he was rude and wouldn't listen, your restaurant and employee's need to know the rules and requirements, have reported this to the ADA for service animals and the restaurant for refusing us, I've tried calling the restaurant several times within business hours and no one answers, the young blonde server witnessed it all and apologized, I'll never go back there again, they violated mine and my dogs rights as a disabled veteran,...
