Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Artesia

Never have I ever had such a terrible dining experience... my family and I stopped in for dinner before heading back to Roswell... we should've just kept driving. We thought "Wow a Popeyes Chicken we gotta stop". We ordered for dine in and it took over 40 minutes to get our food... what made it worse was the fact that people were coming in after us and walking out with their meals. I asked the worker what was taking so long and they were like oh snap ugh the filets are cooking up. When it was finally ready they had our meals in bags instead of a tray, then I had to go back a couple of times because of missing items (mashed potatoes, beans and rice sides). Now let's get to the interior... the dining area was oddly warm, the men's bathroom was out of order, the dining tables were filthy with past customers food debris and it wasn't even a quarter filled with customers. Yet it looked like they had a full staff. The food was a low 2 on Stars because it didn't really impress... I just hope Roswell's Popeyes Chicken is better. We've had Popeyes Chicken in other states so we know this is not making...

I've eaten here a few times before with no problems, usually it's earlier in the day. Tonight we ordered online for dinner.

First the whole restaurant smelled horribly of rotten eggs, we were going to eat in, but decided not to. The smell was making me nauseous.

The smaller pieces of garlic Parmesan chicken wings were good, but the bigger prices were rubbery, and cold. The coleslaw had a weird soapy aftertaste, I have never tasted it with their coleslaw before, I barely touched it. The red beans and rice tasted really off as well, not sure why.

The chicken sandwich, and mashed potatoes were great, but the fries tasted old, but weren't cold. They might not have changed the grease, or something, but they tasted old, and left a bad lingering taste.

When we come to Artesia, we usually eat here, but now we will be finding a different...

We get it, growing pains..just opened. Both menu boards down. Extreme wait times. Feel bad for the employees.Theyre nice & really trying. Out of chicken, she had to make three trips to my car to say, 'we only have this...is that ok?' Well we don't have that so we're going to give you this'...Ordered 5 pc mixed got all mild. Whatever. Biscuits hard, been there awhile. No honey. But let's get down to business. Chicken was fresh but flavorless. Honestly it's Churches chicken with an orange paint job. Red beans & rice was good (really what i went there for). Save yourself the aggravation...stick to KFC. Sorry popeyes...food just isn't that good. Add in all the opening issues...I'd say wait a month let them get their...
