I grew up in donelson Tennessee and whitt's was allways my favorite place to eat. I moved up to Louisville Kentucky 14 years ago. Up in Kentucky they do not have whitt's. So every single time I come down to Nashville I get me some while I'm here. I'm always telling people before I go do you want me to bring you back some cuz it's the most amazing barbecue that I've ever had in my life. I even got my husband a of the past nine years who's a ky native addicted to Whitt's barbecue. To the point to where there's times where we sit there and joke around and talk about just driving down just to eat there. Well this last time that I drove down there was a lot of road work on 65 and and I got into Tennessee a little bit late so I get to this establishment at 5:30 mind you they don't close till 6:00. The girl who came to the window give me and my husband a dirty look first of all just opening the window. She was so rude the entire time acting as if it was a problem we were even ordering. We asked for 12 sandwiches total two turkey the rest pork. One was a specialty sandwich where the fixings were on the side so the coleslaw the mayonnaise and the pickle were on the side just one sandwich. So taking our orders she treated us like we were stupid that really bothers me but I didn't even say anything close to close everybody has a bad day she's probably just irritated. So then she tells us flight 22.00 I don't question it it's been a long time since I've even come down at least 3 years since I've come down so I don't know maybe I'm not remembering prices correctly. Didn't give us a receipt and we didn't check the bag until we had already driven back after spending 5 hours at my sister's house. They only gave us five sandwiches. But didn't say that they were outages or anything like that if they just would have said something whatever that's fine and it's my fault for not asking why it was so cheap. But come on you guys like this is ridiculous I drove all the way down from Louisville Kentucky just for this.. the buns were hard the meat was dry like so dry there was barely any coleslaw on the sandwiches. I have to say this is like one of the worst experiences that just really bothered me when it came to an establishment just because of how long I had to drive to get there and then the lack of effort and just the rudeness really...
Read moreOur recent experience at Whitts was profoundly disappointing. Having grown up in Ashland City, I have always loved Whitts' loaded baked potatoes. During our family vacation in Hendersonville, I was excited to visit Whitts and relive those fond memories. We ordered and paid through the app, ensuring we arrived at the specified pick-up time. However, upon arrival, we were informed that they had no record of our order and that several items we had paid for were unavailable.
Despite being told that we would need to wait an additional 15-20 minutes for 2 of the 6 potatoes, we decided not to wait and requested an additional pound of pork and a loaf of cornbread instead, along with our existing order of one pound of turkey and two slabs of ribs. We were assured that this was not an issue and asked to wait outside.
Several minutes later, an employee brought out only three of the four potatoes and one pound of turkey. When I pointed out the incomplete order, I was met with resistance. After waiting another 20 minutes with no further communication, I went inside to inquire. The staff continued to argue, insisting that we had received everything we ordered. After an additional 15 minutes of waiting, with our food now cold, I requested an update. The response was dismissive, blaming the delay on the potatoes. Frustrated, I asked for a refund for the missing items, to which the staff rudely responded, refusing to refund the entire order and citing their own inconvenience.
Ultimately, I requested the missing pound of pork and declined the potatoes. We left with cold, hour-old food and a total bill of $130. This experience was unacceptable, and I will not be returning to Whitts. I hope they address these issues to provide a better customer experience...
Read moreJust got turkey sandwiches from there and I won't be going back. One sandwich had a large bone in it and another one had a long hair in it.
The cashier was rude and the food tasted horrible, nothing like it use to.
I've been going there off and on for over a year and it's usually good, not sure what's changed.
We only took two bites out of our first sandwiches out of six. Wasted $40 at this place, I'll be talking to the manager and to whoever owns this place soon enough.
Guaranteed we won't be going back ever.
