Made a quick pit stop at the Dandy Lion for breakfast and a cup of coffee. The service and friendliness of the staff is really what was the highlight for us. They greeted all the guests coming in the same way, which is nice and almost a rarity among many businesses these days. The negatives --- The food on the other hand, at least what we had, and the atmosphere just really wasn't our cup of tea. For example, I had the sausage, egg and cheese biscuit and I believe it had mustard on it which totally changed the flavor and not in a good way. Maybe some like this kind of combination??? As far as the atmosphere, I definitely like the idea of having a glass garage door to open to let the breeze in but the downside to that is that you have to fight off the fly's and gnats while trying to enjoy your meal. Again, maybe some don't mind this but when we like to eat, the last thing I want to do is guard my food or keep my hand moving to ward off anything landing. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't like there was a swarm or even a ton of fly's but just a couple buzzing around that is looking for something to land on is still not pleasant when trying to eat. Lastly, no cinnamon rolls and was informed that it has not been on the menu for some length of time. Google listing needs...

I'm not super big on pets indoors (not against it either) so the fact there are dogs running around inside isn't my personal favorite thing--the place is clean regardless and the dogs are very sweet and chill so for me they're not a bother. I know people allergic to pet dander so would probably not be a great place for them. But still five stars. Overall, as a coffee and hangout place it's great! My cafe mocha was excellent. Staff is super friendly and there were even toys for little ones to play. I do plan to visit again so perhaps I'll review some...

Outstanding food and coffee with a bright and kind staff. Walking in you immediately feel at home, and when you taste the food you’re likely to keep coming back. When I went in they had freshly baked cinnamon rolls that were still warm. Their mushroom grilled cheese was absolutely delicious and surprisingly filling. They also have $5 bottomless coffees if you choose to dine in with them. The overall vibe of the cafe was very calm and welcoming. It’s a great place to grab a bite to eat and chat with the staff or study and get...

Pro: the lavender lemonade was good Cons: $13 for a sandwich that was supposed to be a grilled cheese but the slice of Colby jack wasn't even melted and a bag of chips is really overpriced. The pulled pork grilled cheese tasted better but not $17.50 better. One of the servers was SO loud, shout talking at regulars...if we hadn't driven from Columbia, I wouldn't have supported the establishment based on the flags outside.
