Beer's Pub & Grub — Restaurant in Ashley

On our way home from vacation, we tried to stop here to eat some dinner and relax for a bit before finishing our drive home. I love a good hole in the wall and supporting local, so thought this was a good place.

As soon as we walked into the establishment, everyone turned and looked oddly at us. The bartender told us we were not allowed to be there and were not welcomed as he pointed at my 13 month old, telling us you must be 21 to enter. There was no sign on the door stating this, nor did I find it anywhere online. The bartender said it was state law and as we turned around and walked out, a customer, who was enjoying a cigarette, said, “It’s Indiana.” Upon exiting I looked up the state law, which I have attached to this review.

Overall, the entire smelt of smoke, was dark, dirty, and the service was horrible. I was disrespected before even opening my mouth to ask for a table and high chair. The customers weren’t great either. I highly do not...

We just left and had the worst first experience ever. We ordered the Boss Hog and a bacon cheese burger. The kitchen put my hamburger patty on the Boss and the sausage patty on mine. They said they would remake it, but while I was waiting for my right order the waitress informed me that the bar tender said not to remake it and just take it of the bill. So I never got my food. The bartender also brought me a Pepsi instead of the mountain dew I ordered. 🤬😠 Will not be returning and if that's the way the staff treats new customers they should'nt be allowed to work in customer service. Friendly staff, great service and CLEAN...just right off of the interstate! Not your typical bar, they take pride in the food that they serve! I heard that they had wonderful wings but I decided to try the delicious ham and cheese on a hoagie roll and my colleague had the breaded tenderloin sandwich.
