I hate to be one to complain but we just came from dinner and I have quite a few problems. Let me start of with that we walked in at 6:15 and there was nobody in the restaurant but a couple that walked in after us and that’s where I should have turned around. The restaurant itself was clean and all the tables were set. The hostess seats us and then comes to take our drink orders. He got a Pibb and I decided to get a mojito as it was still happy hour. His pibb came out as a Diet Coke and I had to go get the hostess/waitress/bartender to replace it (I say that as there was one lady working the front doing all 3 jobs). Then since it’s happy hour we decided to do onion rings as an appetizer. We received 5 onion rings that tasted fine but had light burn on a few. Finally after we get our appetizer I finally get my drink which mind you was about 15 minutes at least since we ordered drinks. That was no mojito. At the best it was lime juice pulp as I couldn’t taste any mint or see any as well as tasted no rum. We get our food and it was fine. He got a chicken parm and I got the NY strip special that they had. He didn’t care for his chicken as it was very thin and tough but said the pasta and sauce was good. The NY strip I ordered was very thin and well done, I ordered it medium. The mac and cheese was just not for me but the fries were good. At this point I should have sent it back but we had all we could take and ate what we could and left. I want to also point out I had to ask for a receipt before we left and paid $10 for our 5 onion rings which again we’re supposed to be half off from the happy hour. I might also add going to the men’s restroom there were paper towels ontop of the dispenser and no soap in the dispenser just a small bottle of almost out soap on the counter.
I hate to complain really as I never like to make bad reviews but I feel other should know this before coming as this was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had, and usually I like to cut people some slack as I manage a restaurant and worked in one since I was a kid but this was so bad I needed to...
Read moreEDITED TO UPDATE: I gave this five stars all the way around for the first couple of visits. Unfortunately, It went downhill from there. Their horrible service and lack of knowledge about what's going on in the restaurant brought shame to us when we were sharing the place with our guests. My father-in-law asked if It was prime beef, and the waitress said that they didn't know but that it was handcut in their kitchen. When she lleft, he asked us what kind of restaurant doesn't know what they're serving. Then of course when we were done they couldn't be bothered to remove the used dishes. So my father in law will not be going back. Also, the last three or four times we went, the waitress couldn't be bothered to take care of us because they had better things to do with only one other table in the entire restaurant! And by that I mean they were on their phones up at the bar. In total we went there at least ten times but we have stopped going and will not go back.
My original review: We saw that this place had just opened and decided to try it for lunch. I was craving a burger and first thing we saw in the menu are burgers! I got a bacon cheeseburger and steak fries. The burger was unbelievably juicy, seasoned to perfection, and was definitely in my top two burgers of all time. Even the bacon on it seemed to be of better quality. The steak fries were amazing. They had an incredibly soft and moist interior with a very nice thin crunchy exterior. I would say that they are the best steak fries I've ever had in my life. All of the food was extremely fresh and of exceptional quality. They weren't busy at all, the service was very fast, and everyone who works there seemed happy, unlike otherrestaurantswherethe servers hate life. I'm so happy we finally have a great place to eat here on the east...
Read moreI went to Frank and Sons with friends last night. The menu has items listed but no prices. I was not hungry so ordered only the strawberry salad versus Caesar salad at waitstaff recommendation. It was literally the worst excuse for a salad that I have experienced. It was a large bowl of lettuce - the bagged kind of mixed greens. I found possibly two thin slices of strawberry and two very thin partial slices of tomato. The salad was described as strawberry with pecans and feta. There was about a teaspoon of pecans at the bottom of the bowl and maybe a quarter of a teaspoon - one small piece of feta and as described perhaps one half teaspoon of strawberry. The balsamic vinaigrette was perhaps 1 1/2 teaspoons of dressing. So for $16 I got a bowl of undressed lettuce. I asked for a coffee twice and finally got 1 cup. The waitress asked how the food was but never refilled water or coffee. My companions steaks both were awful - full of gristle. The remaining companion had the whole snapper which she said was not bad. The side vegetables seemed to be the only decent option. The atmosphere was nice. It was mostly an empty restaurant. I would not recommend...
