A pleasant surprise in Athens Ohio. Not expecting to find decent Chinese food especially driving by this place the location and the building but after reading all the five star reviews I stopped in for lunch. Although I wouldn't give it 5 stars, 4 stars yes. Well done, excellent lunch specials are a deal and you get soup, the hot and sour is the real deal, and I had the garlic shrimp with fried rice. Nice big well prepared portion, shrimp was perfect and big and lots of fresh cut vegetables. Fried rice wasn't your typical soy sauce destroyed rice but was that fake saffron that they use so it was golden yellow and perfectly cooked. I asked why they don't deliver, using doordash or something and she said it was too much work! Too much work to deliver to 30,000 hungry students with no wheels to get over to this...

My most favorite restaurant for Chinese Take-Out. They are quick & rarely has there been a discrepancy with my order. Food here is great only sometimes the chicken will be somewhat stringy chewy. Cooked too long, I guess. So I just order the Veg. Lomain w/ fried rice. You get plenty of it & can eat leftovers for 2-3 days depending on if I'm sharing. Oh, don't forget the veggie egg roll, too! Absolutely the best restaurant in Athens. Out of all the places I've tried since moving here, this one always leaves me feeling surprised every time that we have such a wonderful place.

The service is always very quick, food is always super hot, and everything is reasonably priced. The portions are good, and even their lunch specials could be split into two meals.
