This is a very nice place to come and get Mexican/ seafood they have a lot of different combinations that you can get. My partner got the beef fajitas, and believe me. It was a lot of food! The grilled onions & peppers along with the fajita meat plus bowl of beans & guacamole, Pico de gallo , cheese & then flour tortillas (they were very small) but good. I wanted to come here since I heard they were open. But waited awhile so we wouldn't have to stand in line. I think it was a Tuesday or Wednesday about 6pm.The parking lot was packed! But we didn't have to wait. Our waitress was so sweet & friendly and she answered all my questions, trying to decide what to get. I don't eat meat. So I finally decided on fried fish & fries. We did have to wait a little while, but our food came out hot. I wanted extra crispy, hot fries. I think they might have thought I wanted extra crispy fish! I ate some of it but mostly fries & my partner shared guacamole & some grilled onions & peppers with me. Our waitress young lady so nice & friendly & helpful. If we go back, I will try grilled fish with sauté veggies. I hope we get her again she was so sweet & quick and helpful. I can't remember her name right now it was back in June when we were there. I also love all the memorabilia on the walls! They have live music, bands that come and sing and play! So good try this place out so many good options & some if your willing to try...

I understand, in Athens, this place may be new and exciting... However I can't really recommend it.
Our food was... Ok. Definitely not worth waiting on.
First, everything was pretty bland. I had to ask for Cajun seasoning, at a Cajun focused restaurant, and was charged extra for it. This is unfathomable to me.
We had boiled shrimp, as an appetizer, that had zero seasoning. No flavor, no spice... Just cocktail sauce.
My Salad, seemed to be the the bagged variety you get at Walmart, and came with about a teaspoon of watery ranch dressing (that had almost zero flavor).
For my Entree I had the red fish. I also added the three shrimp bruschetta.
The shrimp were small, and sad for the price, but edible.
The fish though... The driest most overcooked fish I think I've ever been served. The sauteed veggies? Again, no seasoning whatsoever.
I will say the jalapeno grits were good. They were the single highlight of the dinner.
With the price coming in at over $100 for two appetizers (my son had gator that he liked) and one entree... I just don't get the appeal at all.
I paid that at Papadeaus and the quality was 10x better.
This place is a firm skip for me... It will be interesting to see if it makes it once the new wears off with the locals.
On a side note... Great server, great atmosphere.
It's just Captain D's quality, at an...

I ordered the Blackened SeaFood Nachos, you get three options of shrimp, crab, or shrimp & crab. I said I wanted only crab. She comes back with clearly shrimp Nachos. We politely tell her this isn't what we ordered. She comes back and says, "No, this is what you ordered, it comes with shrimp and crab." I'm confused, so I dig through the Nachos with my fork and there's literally small specs of crab inside it. Not exaggerating, probably less than a gram of crab on the plate, with tons of shrimp. Sent it back, with zero apology from the waitress, meanwhile she's rolling her eyes at me like I'm the idiot. Then she messes up our beer order, she was correcting me about what was on the menu until I pointed it out to her. She didn't even know what they had on their menu, brought the wrong beer, and again no apology. I've been all over the world and I've never had a waitress as lame as this. However, the manager was reasonable and took the shrimp Nachos off our tab since we didn't order it, and we didn't eat it. I was optimistic, hoping for a good experience at a new restaurant in Athens but I was disappointed. Needless to say, we won't be...
